Q: What is the mode of KEAM exam?

The KEAM exam has moved on to the online CBT mode from 2024 onwards. The Commissioner of Entrance Examinations has received approval from the government of Kerala to conduct KEAM in CBT mode. KEAM exam pattern has been changed, and KEAM 2026 will be held in computer-based test mode, and there will be one paper. The KEAM entrance exam for engineering courses will consist of 150 questions, with Mathematics having 75 questions, Physics having 45 questions, and Chemistry having 30 questions. Candidates will have 180 minutes to complete the exam. For candidates appearing for KEAM BPharm ONLY, the entrance exam will have 45 questions in Physics and 30 questions in Chemistry, to be completed within 90 minutes. Each correct answer will fetch candidates four marks, while every incorrect answer will result in a deduction of one mark.

Q: Do I need to appear for both the papers of KEAM?

There is no paper 1 or paper 2 in KEAM anymore. As per the revised KEAM exam pattern to be followed from 2024 onwards, KEAM will not have two papers anymore. There will be one paper. The KEAM engineering candidates have to attempt a total of 150 questions. Mathematics will have 75 questions, Physics will have 45 questions and Chemistry will have 30 questions to be answered in 180 minutes. For KEAM BPharm ONLY candidates, the Entrance Examination will have a total of 75 questions; 45 questions in Physics and 30 questions in Chemistry to be answered in 90 minutes. For each correct response, candidates will be awarded FOUR marks, and for each incorrect response, ONE mark will be deducted.

Q: What is the duration of KEAM exam?

As per the revised KEAM exam pattern, the KEAM engineering exam will be held for a duration of 180 minutes, and the BPharm paper will be held for a duration of 90 minutes. Candidates have to appear for Physics, Chemistry and Maths for the engineering exam and for only Physics and Chemistry for the BPharm paper.

The KEAM admit card will be available until the day of the exam. KEAM hall ticket is made available online only at the official website for the registered candidates. To download the KEAM admit card , candidates have to enter their KEAM application number and password. KEAM admit card includes details like the candidate's name, father's name, exam date, exam time, test centre address etc. Before downloading the KEAM hall ticket , candidates are advised to crosscheck all the details mentioned on it. The admit card of KEAM is one of the most important documents without which candidates will not be able to appear in KEAM . Next, candidates had to complete the fill the online application form. In the next step, candidates need to pay the online application fee as applicable, with the available mode of payment. Thereafter, the candidates had to upload scanned images and certificates. Finally, as the final step of the application process, candidates had to print the submitted online form and keep it safe with them.

Q: When will the final KEAM answer key release?

The KEAM 2026 final answer key release date will be announced by CEE. Candidates can submit challenges against the KEAM answer key 2026, if any, through the Candidate Portal. By selecting the applicable links 'Answer Key Challenge (Engineering), Answer Key Challenge (Pharmacy)' in the Candidate Portal, candidates can enter the details of the complaints in the answer key/question.

Q: When will the result of KEAM exam be declared?

CEE will release KEAM 2026 normalised scores in May 2026. CEE Kerala publishes the results on the official website. CEE Kerala also publishes the rank list of KEAM after entering class 12 marks by qualified candidates. The KEAM 2026 rank will be released a few days after the results. The KEAM result can be checked by using their application number and password. Based on KEAM scores and qualifying exam scores, the KEAM rank list is prepared. The rank lists PDF for Engineering, Architecture, B.Pharma, MBBS / BDS / BHMS / BSMS / BUMS / Agriculture / Forestry / Veterinary / Co-operation & Banking / Climate Change & Environmental Science / B.Tech Biotechnology (under KAU) / Fisheries and B.A. MS will be published separately as a PDF in the coming days. Based on the KEAM rank list, CEE will allot seats to the candidates via the Centralised Allotment Process (CAP).

KEAM 2026 Dates: CEE will release the KEAM 2026 schedule that will include the KEAM 2026 exam dates, registration dates and dates for the complete examination process. CEE will release the KEAM exam dates to be held over various days and shifts. The KEAM 2026 registration is expected to start in February 2026, and the KEAM exam is expected to be held in April 2026.

KEAM includes an entrance exam for undergraduate (UG) engineering and pharmacy admissions, as well as a centralised admission process (CAP) for UG medical, agriculture, forestry, veterinary, fisheries, and architecture courses. KEAM 2026 Exam Date

The KEAM entrance exam is held in Kerala, Mumbai, New Delhi and Dubai as per the schedule released by CEE. The online CBT entrance test is held for admission to engineering courses at various colleges in Kerala that are approved by the Central and State Regulatory Bodies, Universities and Government. In KEAM, questions are asked from Maths, Physics, and Chemistry. KEAM will not have two papers anymore. There will be one paper. The engineering aspirants have to attempt the Maths, Physics, and Chemistry sections of the paper, while the BPharm aspirants have to attempt the Physics and Chemistry sections of the paper.
