The Army Institute of Law (AIL LET) will release the AIL LET Notification 2026 anytime soon. The institute will announce all the important AIL LET Exam Dates 2026 in the notification. Candidates must fill the AIL LET application form 2026 on or before the deadline.

The institute will conduct the AIL LET Entrance Exam 2026 for admission to BA LLB and BCom LLB courses. The AIL LET Entrance Exam 2026 will be conducted in May.  Once the exam is over, the Army Institute of Law will release the answer key. The AIL LET Result 2026 will be published based on the answer key.

Candidates must note that the admission process is completely online. No application will be accepted through email or post. Candidates must check the AIL LET Exam Pattern and syllabus before starting their preparation. What is AIL LET?

AIL LET, Law Entrance Test (LET) is an institute-level test conducted by the Army Institute of Law (AIL), Mohali, for admissions to BA LLB & BCom courses. The entrance test consists of a paper with 4 sections for a duration of two hours.

The question paper of AIL LET has objective-type questions of a standard expected of 10+2 students. The questions in the exam are asked from Mental Ability, General Knowledge & Current Affairs, Law Aptitude and General English. The AIL LET exam will be held for the total of 200 marks, and each question is awarded 1 mark, however, there is no negative marking for the wrong attempt. 

Through AIL LET, as many as 120 BA LLB seats are offered including 86 for wards of Army Personnel, 24 for Punjab Resident Civil Category, 03 seats are available IAF category, 01 for IN, & 06 seats for all India category candidates.

AIL LET Eligibility Criteria 2026

Candidates seeking admission to BA LLB course at the Army Institute of Law should fulfil the AIL LET eligibility criteria 2026 as under: 

  • Candidates passed or are appearing in Class 12th or equivalent examination from the Punjab School Education Board or any other state or national board of education in India.
  • They must have secured at least 45% marks in the qualifying examination.
  • Candidates who have completed their qualifying exam from open university are not eligible for admission to the law course.
  • Candidates who are clearing Class 12th compartment papers are not eligible for admission at AIL.

  • Visit the AIL LET website
  • Register online 
  • Enter the important details such as Candidate's name, Gender, Category, Mobile Number, Email Address, etc. 
  • Create the login credentials using the valid email ID and password.
  • Now, when the candidates have registered successfully, login again to fill the communication address, and upload the scanned copies of the signature and latest photograph. 
  • Now, when the application form is completely filled, pay the application fee and submit. 
  • Keep a copy fo the form save for future references.

AIL LET 2026 Admit Card

The AIL LET 2026 Admit Card will be released on the Army Institute of Law official website, ail.ac.in. It will be an important document for the exam day. The important exam day guidelines will also be provided in the hall ticket. It will be available to download using the application number and password as login credentials. AIL Mohali will issue the admit card a few days before the examination.

How to download AIL LET Admit Card 2026?

Candidates can download the admit card from the official website as under:

  1. Visit the official website of Army Institute of Law - The link to download the admit card will be available here. 
  2. Go to latest notifications or click on blinking link of AIL LET 2026 admit card 
  3. The login window will open up on the screen and candidates have to log in using registration number and password
  4. The admit card will appear on the screen, cross-check it for any errors and if any error is found, report it to the exam helpdesk 
  5. Download the admit card and get printouts to carry on the exam day 

Candidates are advised to carry extra copies for future references till the admission process is completed

AIL LET 2026 Exam Centre Guidelines

The exam will be conducted in the Computer-Based Test mode at around 50 test cities this year. Candidates appearing for the law entrance test must be careful of a few things as under: 

  • Reach the allotted exam centre at least an hour before the exam timings
  • Carry AIL LET admit card along with a valid photo ID proof - Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, Passport, PAN Card, etc. 
  • Do not carry any prohibited items like mobile phones, earphones, watches, books, notes etc. 
  • Follow the instructions of the exam invigilator before, during and after the examination
