MHCET Law Exam Pattern 2026

Q:   Which types of questions are asked in the MH CET Law question paper?
A:

Multiple-choice questions are asked in the MH CET Law question papers. Candidates are required to answer these questions in a computer-based test mode (online). They will also be able to skip questions if they do not know their answers. However, it is recommended for all MH CET Law candidates to answer all questions because there is no negative marking scheme in the MH CET Law exam. The option of marking for review is also available for questions in the MH CET Law question paper. Candidates can answer these questions later before clicking on the submit or end exam button. 

Q:   How many questions are there in MH CET Law 2026?
A:

Candidates appearing for the five-year LLB course of MH CET Law will have to attempt five sections including, Legal Aptitude and Legal Reasoning, English, Mathematics, Logical and Analytical Reasoning, and General Knowledge and Current Affairs. Those appearing for the three-year LLB course have to attempt the same four sections except for Mathematics. MHCET Law Syllabus 2026 will be of Class 12/ SSC level for five-year LLB courses paper and, of graduate-level for LLB course paper. 

Q:   Which is the most important section in the MH CET Law question paper?
A:

General Knowledge and Current Affairs section is the most important section in the MH CET Law question paper. This is because these sections test candidates' awareness of current events and a variety of academic subjects, such as history, geography, science, and economics. The weightage of the General Knowledge and Current Affairs section in the MH CET Law 3-year LLB exam is 40. However, the weightage of the section in the MH CET Law 5-year LLB exam is 30.

General Knowledge questions typically cover a wide range of topics, such as:

Key Points to Remember about MHCET Law 2026 Exam Pattern:

  • The MHCET Law question paper 2026 for the 3-year LLB programme will not include questions from mathematics. Mathematics-related questions will only be asked in the MHCET Law 5-year question paper.
  • Candidates should know that neither the 3-year LLB nor the 5-year LLB undergraduate law courses offered by MHCET Law 2026 will have a negative marking option.
  • The exam takers will receive one mark for every question that they answer correctly.
  • The multiple-choice questions (MCQs) format will be used for the entire test paper for the MHCET LAW 2026.
  • Candidates will have two hours to answer all the questions in the MHCET Law question paper 2026 for both of the UG programmes.

Candidates cannot get MH CET Law question papers of previous years for free because the conduction body of the MH CET Law exam, the CET Cell Maharashtra (MAH CET Cell) can be found in books designed for the MH CET Law syllabus. Candidates need to focus more on topics related to the MH CET Law syllabus to prepare for this law entrance exam. The syllabus includes topics associated with, Legal Aptitude and Legal Reasoning, General Knowledge and Current Affairs, Logical and Analytical Reasoning, English, and Mathematics.

Q:   Will the question paper of MH CET Law be in Marathi?
A:

Yes, the question paper of MH CET Law can be given in Marathi. Candidates can choose to answer the question paper in either Marathi or English.

However, it is important to note that the question paper will be the same for both Marathi and English medium candidates. The only difference is that the Marathi medium candidates will be given a Marathi translation of the question paper.

Candidates should choose the medium in which they are most comfortable answering the question paper. If you are more comfortable answering in Marathi, then you should choose the Marathi medium question paper. However, if you are more comfortable answering in English, then you should choose the English medium question paper.

A:

To access the previous year questions, candidates can refer to the Shiksha portal. Please note that the MH CET Law examination cell does not publish the previous year question paper officially, however, you can access the memory based questions along with the answers here.
