The Bar Council of India (BCI) is conducting AIBE twice this year. BCI provides a Certificate of Practice(CoP) to the qualified candidates. This year, the BCI has allowed the final year candidates to apply for the All India Bar Examination. The requirement of registration in the State Bar Council was also removed as one of the eligibility conditions.
The AIBE exam registrations 2026 were started on August 19 on its examination portal - allindiabarexamination.com. Candidates can fill the AIBE 22 registrations till October 30. The BCI will conduct the AIBE 22 on November 29, 2026, nationwide in offline (pen-paper) mode.
Important Note: Candidates who failed in the AIBE XX or XXI examinations are not required to register again. Such applicants may log in using their existing User ID and Password. They can fill and submit the AIBE XXII application form using their previous registration details.

What is AIBE Exam?
The All India Bar Examination is conducted twice a year (from this year) by the Bar Council of India for law graduates seeking to start their practice as lawyers.
The exam is conducted to check candidates' basic-level knowledge and understanding of Law subjects, establish a benchmark for entering the practice of law, and test the candidates' analytical skills. Law students must pass this exam to get their Certificate of Practice (COP).

The BCI will release the AIBE 22 Answer Key 2026 in two phases: provisional and final. Candidates will be able to challenge the AIBE Provisional Answer Key 2026 until the objection window is open.
