CMAT 2017, scheduled to be held on January 28, 2017 is a pan-India online aptitude test. Marks obtained in CMAT are valid for admission to management courses offered by various B-Schools across India.
January 29 will be 'reserve day', which means exam will be held on that day only in case of any emergency.
Candidates who are Indian citizens and have completed graduation (any subject) are eligible to appear for the exam. Students who are in the final year of their graduation course (10+2+3) and whose result will be declared before the admission to CMAT 2017-18 begins, can also apply for CMAT online exam. There is no age restriction for CMAT.

Registration Fees for CMAT 2017 Rs 1400 while for SC/ST/PD candidates it is Rs 700.
For those, who are planning to appear for the exam should prepare Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation, General Awareness, Language Comprehension, and Logical Reasoning thoroughly as the question paper consists of questions from these four topics.
The exam paper consists of 100 questions, divided into four sections of 25 questions each. Each question carries 4 marks each and the duration of the exam is 180 minutes.
The online exam is conducted by All India Council for Technical Education in 62 centres across the country including Gulbarga, Jamshedpur, Surat, Ludhiana, Varanasi etc. The candidates can choose their test centres and time slots according to their convenience. Registrations for CMAT 2017 is scheduled to begin on October 10, 2016 and will end on December 10, 2016.

To get a seat in the FLAME University of the MBA/PGDM course, you have to appear for any one of the accepted exams, like CAT, XAT, CMAT, etc. After clearing the exam, you have to get shortlisted for further admission round, which involves PI or GD.

Three months may not be enough for CMAT preparation, if you're doing it from scratch. However, if you are preparing for CAT, XAT, NMAT, you can prepare for CMAT in 3 months as you have clear understanding of the syllabus already and you will need exam specific practice only.
