- Create a study plan: It is important to make a study plan and routine before starting the exam preparations. It is important to divide the OJEE preparation strategy in a way that the students are able to cover the complete syllabus and at the same time have enough time in the end for revision. Candidates must plan in such as way that they are able to devote enough time to all the sections of the exam. As you go about your preparations, prepare small notes and jot down the key points and formulae.
- Be thorough with the syllabus: It is important for the students to know the complete OJEE syllabus. Focusing on each topic is very important. As stated above, there will be four sections in the OJEE question paper. Hence, for the Verbal Reasoning and Comprehension section brush up on the vocabulary and grammar skills. Topics such as Synonyms, Antonyms, Idioms, Para Jumbles, Phrases, Expressions, Comprehension Passages, etc. will form this section. Reading the newspaper daily will be of great help in acing the section. Reopen the mathematics books that you studied in Class 9 and Class 10 for the Quantitative Techniques section. This section will include topics such as Trigonometry, Graphs, Algebra, Time and Speed, Geometry, Interest, etc. To ace the Analytical and Logical Reasoning section, study topics such as Relations, Family Tree, Puzzles, Syllogism, Venn diagrams, Coding and Decoding, etc. For the General Awareness and Business Fundamentals section, you need to be well-updated with the latest industry trends and news and all the current affairs. Candidates must study the important dates, events and awards.
- Speed and Accuracy: Accuracy is as important as speed in the OJEE exam. OJEE is a time-based exam, hence, students must focus on completing the exam within the time frame. However, only answering the questions is not enough. It is also important to answer the questions with accuracy. Practice a lot of OJEE exam sample papers and take ample mock tests to practice solving the questions with speed and accuracy.
- Know your strengths and weaknesses: During the preparations, try to identify the areas which need improvement and the ones which are your strengths. Constantly work on the weaknesses and continue to strengthen the strong points. Practice an ample number of sample papers and mock tests.
- Revision is the key: The OJEE preparations are incomplete without the right amount of practice and revision. Give at least 7-14 days to revise what you have studied. Attempt mock tests and solve sample papers to improve time management. Go through the notes that you prepared at the beginning of the preparation and analyse.
- Stay calm at all times: If one wishes to excel in the OJEE exam then it is necessary to remain calm and focused at all times. Nervousness will only add up to anxiety and students might end up choosing the incorrect option. No amount of preparation is worth it if the students panic on exam day.
