NMAT 2025 Preparation: Last-Minute Tips

Here are a few tasks and tips to be followed before the exam.

  1. Make a strategy to approach the NMAT question paper - According to the NMAT exam pattern, it is a speed-based test comprising 108 questions with a score range of 36 to 360 marks. Total time allotted for NMAT test is 120 minutes and the test has sectional time as well. Therefore, you must plan in your head how much time to allot to each question. There is no negative marking in NMAT so you need not worry about losing marks; however, it is critical to ensure you do not spend too much time on a question.
  2. Revise all the topics from NMAT Syllabus - Revise all the points and bulletins that you highlighted while preparing over the months for NMAT 2025 exam, in this short time. By doing so you can cover all the topics and brush up on basic concepts and formulae.
  3. Do Not Touch Any New Topic - If you fail cover any topic from the NMAT syllabus; do not plan to complete it a day before exam day. This will result in sheer wastage of effort and time that you can otherwise devote to revising the already covered topics from the syllabus.
  4. Avoid Stress by Focusing on Strengths over Weaknesses - Although it is justified to be anxious or stressed before exam day, try to lessen it by remembering the areas of strengths rather than thinking just about the weaknesses repeatedly. If channelised well, your strengths can take you a long way towards answering the questions tactfully avoiding silly mistakes.
  5. Follow Discipline - You must follow a disciplined lifestyle, especially when you are preparing for a national level or a competitive exam like NMAT. If followed in the right way, last-minute NMAT preparation and a proper timetable can instil positive energy. You need to answer questions in a speed-based test like the NMAT exam. Thus, even when revising the sections covered while preparing for the exam, follow a disciplined approach of study and stick to important topics only. Do not try to revise all the topics on the day of the exam.

Miscellaneous Points for NMAT Preparation

Besides the above-mentioned tips, here are some important tips to prepare for NMAT 2025 exam:

  1. Do not forget to revise vocabulary sections and arithmetic shortcuts
  2. Stay calm, composed and determined
  3. Keep important documents like NMAT admit card and photo identity card in your bag a day before the exam
  4. Reach the exam centre on time. Check the traffic status on Google maps to start from home on time.
  5. Keep NMAT 2025 admit card and Photo ID Card ready to avoid the last-minute hassle.
