How to Prepare for NMAT in One Month

NMAT One Month Preparation Plan

GMAC conducts NMAT 2025 exam over a test window of 45 to 50 days. Candidates have the flexibility to schedule their NMAT exam on any preferred date within the test window. Additionally, all applicants are granted two extra attempts beyond the initial one. GMAC will send the best of three scores to the NMAT participating institutions. These factors make NMAT a candidate-friendly examination. However, it is critical for the applicants to devise a specialised MBA preparation strategy to clear NMAT with one month preparation.

NMAT test-takers get a chance to attempt the test thrice, including the first attempt. This is an advantage for the candidates as in case the first attempt is not up to the mark, they get a chance to improve their performance in the other two attempts. However, there should be a gap of at least 15 days between the two attempts. Test takers can score high on their first attempt if this one-month duration can be utilised well. Check below the one-month preparation plan for NMAT.

How to Prepare for NMAT?

Below mentioned preparation tips for NMAT 2025 will help in top-notch NMAT preparation

  1. Devise Week Wise Planning for One Month Preparation- In a short span of time; always try to be very precise with the planning. Devote two weeks completely on diving deep on topics from the NMAT syllabus that one has confidence and know much of the content from those chosen few topics. Prepare on gaining foundational knowledge on these topics. Devote the last ten days on revision and attempting NMAT Mocks to analyse self-preparation levels.
  2. Start NMAT Preparation with the Stronger Section- If one is stronger in Logical Reasoning or any other section say Quantitative Skills, first start with the stronger section and aim at conceptual clarity. Following this, move on to some other section, in which they are not strong at but at least have a fair knowledge on it. Here too, aim for conceptual clarity. Do not begin with any topic that one is not familiar with in this one-month time. It is practically not feasible to cover all topics in such a short span of time. The trick is, therefore, to remain precise with planning and focus completely on preparing topics with foundational knowledge. Applying this approach will help candidates to boost their confidence level in the exam and score well.
  3. Refer to NMAT Official Guide without Any Miss- The best way to gain foundational knowledge on different topics is by referring to NMAT by GMAC official guidebook along with other best books for NMAT exam. The official guide contains detailed information on exam pattern, previous year’s questions with answers and proper guidelines and tips to break through the NMAT exam. This book can largely assist the test takers to gain a section-wise approach for NMAT preparation.
  4. Create Notes and Practice Question Papers- When preparing for the exam, create short notes on topics and revise them from time to time. Further, reading and then writing it down is considered a good memorization technique. Practising the previous year NMAT question papers can give candidates a clear idea of the type of questions they can expect in the current exam paper. Familiarity with concepts and questions give candidates the confidence to clear the test.

With such preparation tips put into use, one can easily prepare for NMAT in one month and score high on the test. All the best!
