OJEE 2025 question paper analysis: The overall difficulty level of the OJEE exam 2025 was moderate. According to the thousands of students who appeared for the OJEE exam, majority found the Odisha JEE exam 2025 to be moderate in terms of the difficulty and a few students found the exam to be tough. OJEE 2025 exam was conducted from May 2, 2025, to May 6, 2025, and also from May 10, 2025, to May 12, 2025. The exam was conducted in the computer-based test mode across various exam centres. The OJEE exam 2025 on May 3, 2025, was conducted in three shifts, i.e. 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM, Shift 2- 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM, Shift 3- 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM. The exam was conducted for BPharma, Le Pharma and MBA on May 3, 2025.

Q:   When should I start preparing for OJEE?
A: 

Aspirants should start preparing for the OJEE exam at least six months before the test date.  This duration will be enough to complete the OJEE syllabus thoroughly and practice ample number of mock tests. The OJEE exam is similar to other MBA entrance exams so if a candidate has appeared for any other MBA exam before OJEE, they need to only do exam based preparation and focus on exam-specific mock tests. OJEE 2026 exam will be conducted on May 4, 5, 7, 8, and 9. 

Q:   What is the OJEE exam?
A: 

Odisha Joint Entrance Examination, OJEE is a state exam for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate courses in state government colleges in Odisha.

  1. Every year, this exam is conducted in online mode. 
  2. Duration of exam depends on degree for which students are applying. 
  3. Application fee for one subject is INR 1000, and for a combination of subjects, it is INR 1500. 
  4. OJEE exam syllabus includes Quantitative Techniques, Reasoning, Comprehension, General Awareness, and course-specific topics.
  5. There is a negative marking of one mark for each incorrect answer.
  6. You can get admission to more than 40 government colleges based on OJEE results.
  7. This exam is not conducted for BTech, MBBS BDS or BA Courses.
  8. Regular admission to BTech is based on JEE, and for MBBS and BDS courses, the NEET is required. 
Q:   How to prepare for OJEE entrance exam?
A: 

For OJEE preparation, students need to have a good planning. When students start preparing for OJEE exam, they should make a timetable that covers complete OJEE syllabus, make short notes, practice mock tests, and above all be focused and confident. Also, while preparing for OJEE make sure that they are well acquainted with the OJEE exam pattern. Make a timetable. Prepare using the right study material. Practice mock tests and previous year question papers. Topic wise revision.

OJEE 2025: Marking Scheme

The following is the OJEE marking scheme:

  • +4 marks for each correct answer
  • -1 mark for incorrect answer
  • No deduction for unattempted questions

  • Students who hold a graduation degree or equivalent in any discipline from a recognised university can apply for OJEE.
  • Final year graduation students are also eligible to apply for OJEE.
  • There is no age bar to apply for OJEE exam 2026

OJEE registration fee is not refundable. Once OJEE application fee is paid, the amount will not be returned even if students does not take the exam.

No, OJEE application form is available in online mode only which can be filled on website of OJEE or Odisha JEE. No offline provision is available.

Yes, Special OJEE exam is conducted for students who were not able to appear for OJEE or JEE Main for any reason. They can appear for both exams.

OJEE and JEE syllabus is somewhat same and different in some places. The OJEE syllabus for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics is different from JEE. In JEE, the physics syllabus includes topics such as Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Optics, etc. These topics require knowledge of physics topics.

Candidates who are looking for admission to the undergraduate courses, can fill OJEE application form online after Class 12. 

Class 12 students applying for these courses should fulfil the OJEE eligibility criteria according to their preferred course.

Any graduate candidate with a 50 percent aggregate can apply for OJEE. The applicant must also be a citizen of India. There is no age bar for the candidates appearing for the exam. However, candidates appearing for BTech Marine Engineering exam must not be more than 22 years of age.

Minimum requirement for appearing for OJEE is graduation. Basic OJEE eligibility criteria include:

  • Age Limit: There is no age bar for the candidates appearing for postgraduate courses, however, candidates appearing for BAMS/BHMS or Pharma must be at least 17 years of age as of December 31

No, the OJEE application form is available in online mode only which can be filled on official website of OJEE. There is no provision of filling the application form offline. Candidates also need to make an online fee payment.
