Here is a lowdown on what a student could do after appearing for the upcoming Management Aptitude Test. Also, find a list of institutes a student can pick based on their percentile.
Immediately after MAT 2020
- Take some time: Take a short break immediately after the exam is over. After hustling for the past few days and months, the final day arrived and you appeared on it. Now, this is the time to give yourself some time and treat.
- Analyse: After taking the time, analyse your performance in the test, if you were able to attempt all the questions within time. You will be able to recall all the concepts and techniques to solve the problems. Stronger areas, and areas you are weak at.
- Work on the gaps: Once you have analysed your performance immediately after the exam you will come to know about some gaps and loopholes of your preparation. Work on them, at least note them down or else they will slip your mind. Later while preparing for a next better attempt or another test, the note will help you a lot.
Over the Next Few Day After MAT 2020
- Next MAT: In the next attempt of MAT you have to make sure not to repeat the same mistakes again. This is the beauty of MAT that occurs four times a year. You can appear whenever you feel prepared or else if you feel like you can do better after an attempt. Every time you appear for MAT you should be stronger. Your weaknesses should be concealed by the next attempt.
- University knowledge: A good knowledge of all the universities accepting MAT results is important. Without knowledge, you won’t be able to choose the best university on the basis of your score. The MAT qualified students have a vast opportunity of 600 business schools. Go through the university and the eligibility for admission in them before doing your known research. Though this is a time-consuming activity but highly crucial for your career. Analyze every university carefully, shortlist some and compare them on the basis of its fees, name & fame, placement records, campus life, location, reviews and many more customized parameters of you.

The percentile needed for admission would depend on the category you belong to. JAGSoM accepts various entrance examinations for admission to the MBA/PGDM course, like CAT, XAT, MAT, etc.
As per the estimated XAT cutoff in 2026, a percentile of 70 would be good enough to secure a chance at admission
