TG ICET 2026 May 13 Exam Analysis: Mahatma Gandhi University, Nalgonda, conducted the first shift of TS ICET 2026 exam successfully. The exam began across test centres as per the schedule, i.e. from 10 AM. Test takers were seen coming out of the exam centre after 12:30 PM. Based on the first-hand interaction with TS ICET test takers, the difficulty level of the exam is moderate. Similar to past years, candidates found the exam software to be laggy. Most test takers who had attempted TS ICET mock tests found the exam doable.

Telangana Council of Higher Education has set the minimum qualifying marks at 25 per cent in TSICET for open category candidates. Candidates belonging to reserved categories do not have any qualifying cutoff score. Typically, the pass percentage in TGICET remains between 85 per cent to 93 per cent of all the test takers. Candidates who pass the TGICET exam are eligible for the counselling process administered online. TGCHE conducts a centralised counselling process for Telangana MBA admissions.

Q:   How is TSICET rank allotted?

TSICET rank is allotted based on the normalised scores of the test takers. However, there can be cases when scores of two or more test takers are similar. In such cases, Kakatiya University will allot the TSICET rank by following the below mentioned chronological process - 1. First preference will be given to the test takers with a higher score in section A of TSICET exam. 2. In case the candidates have an equal score in section A, then the candidate with higher marks in section B will be preferred for rank allotment. 3. If the tie persists after considering the scores in Section A and B, TSCHE considers the age of the two candidates. The candidate who is older in age will get the TSICET rank preference.

Q:   What is TSICET qualifying cutoff?
A: 

Every year, with the release of TG ICET notification, TGCHE notifies the qualifying cutoff, also known as qualifying score. Candidates appearing for the TG ICET exam must meet the qualifying cutoff to participate in the counselling process. The qualifying cutoff has not changed from the previous session. Candidates have to score a minimum of 25 per cent marks if they belong to unreserved categories. Those who belong to reserved categories are eligible for the counselling, irrespective of their scores. Out of 200 marks, your category candidates have to secure 50 marks to be eligible to participate in the counselling process.

MGU, Nalgonda has not notified about any change in the issuance date for TSICET hall ticket. Any change in the date for ICET hall ticket download is notified on the official exam website.
