FMGE January 2026 Result Date

The date for the declaration of the result for FMGE Jan 2026 are out on January 29, 2026.. As per the trend observed earlier, the result is usually published by NBEMS in PDF form on their website. To qualify for FMGE 2025 December session exam, a candidate will have to score 150 or more marks in the examination. The exact number of FMGE cutoff will remain same irresecpetive of the results of FMGE 2025.  

The passing marks will remain same for both June and December session. The FMGE cutoff don't very according to the number of candidates who appear in the exam. 

 

Q:   I did not clear the FMGE examination. Can I still download my scorecard?

Yes, you can download the FMGE scorecard even if you did not clear the examination. This will help you analyse the areas where you lost marks. The FMGE 2025 scorecard is available to download even after the declaration of the FMGE 2025 results. 

Q:   How can candidate download entry slip to collect FMGE pass certificate?
A: 

The entry slip can be downloaded from the official website by providing details such as roll number and date of birth. The NBEMS released a notification on the official website which states that students will be able to download their FMGE pass certificate from the official website. Along with it, it will also comprise the time duration during which the FMGE 2025 certificate can be downloaded. 

FMGE January 2026 Result Overview 

FMGE January 2026 exam is a computer-based test, which is held in various exam centers across the country. FMGE exam is composed of the following:

Total Questions: 300 MCQs

Total Marks: 300

Examination Sessions: Two parts: Part A & Part B

Length: 2.5 hours for

Questions will be based on the MBBS curriculum according to Indian standards for medical education. Aspirants have to obtain a minimum of 150 marks out of 300 (50%) for qualifying this exam. Regarding this, there is no negative marking so candidates can take some breathing relief.

Process to Check FMGE January 2026 Results Online

To check FMGE Jan 2026 Results, the following steps can be easily followed by the contestants:

Check your marks and qualify status Later, the NBEMS will also provide personal scorecards, downloadable after logging in using the credentials of the respective applications. The personal scorecard is required during the registration process with the State Medical Council.

Q:   If I do not qualify as per the FMGE exam result, can I retake the examination?
A: 

Yes, applicant can appear for the next session of FMGE exam. There is no capping on the number of attempts applicants appear in FMGE exam. 

Though students have to fill the FMGE application form every time, followed by paying the application fees. Hence it is advised that applicants need to be prepared before appearing for the exam.

Q:   Will FMGE pass certificate be issued online or offline?
A: 

FMGE pass certificate are issued offline. Those who qualified FMGE June session 2025 will have to be in-person at the office of NBE to collect the certificate. 

The authorities will issue FMGE certificates in offline mode only. Students are advised to download the certificate from the official website. The official dates for FMGE certificates for June session are yet to be out and it will be updated once it is out. 

Q:   What is the result declaration date for FMGE ?
A: 

The FMGE December 2025 result was declared online on January 29, 2026. The result has been released online in PDF form. It must be noted the result of particular session will be valid for that session only. Candidates have to score the minimum cut off to qualify for the exam.

The minimum cut off is 50% marks, i.e 150 out of 300. Qualified candidates will have to download the scorecard for FMGE 2025 from the official website.

FMGE Jan 2026 Cut Off Marks & Qualifying Criteria

The qualifying criteria for FMGE Jan 2026 remain the same as earlier sessions:

Minimum qualifying marks: 150 out of 300 (50%)

FMGE doesn't provide relaxation category-wise. All candidates, irrespective of the category, need to score the minimum marks for passing.

FMGE historically has a low pass percentage, usually in the range of 10% to 25%, making it one of the most competitive examinations. Qualifying thus is considered a big achievement and a main step toward medical practice in India.

What After FMGE Jan 2026 Result?

After qualification of the FMGE Jan 2026 Result, the candidates shall have to undergo the following procedures:

  1. Internship Registration

Candidates who are qualified have to enroll for an internship compulsorily with the State Medical Council, in case it has not been completed in India.

  1. Permanent Registration

With this, after completion of the internship, the candidates can apply for permanent registration and practice legally in India by taking FMGE certificates which will be issued by authorities.

Candidates who do not qualify can reappear in the subsequent FMGE session, usually conducted in June or July of each year.

The FMGE cutoff is released once the FMGE results are released. Once the FMGE cutoff is out, those who beat the cutoff list will be called for the counselling process. Students must score a minimum of 150 out of 300 to be able to beat the cutoff.

The FMGE exam has 300 MCQs worth 300 marks. Each correct answer gives 1 mark, and there is no negative marking. The exam is divided into two sections, Part A and Part B; each section is of 2 and a half hours. To pass, one must score 150 out of 300.

There is currently no limit on total number of attempts for FMGE. You can appear for as many sessions as needed. Very soon, National Exit Test (NExT) will replace FMGE exam. It may introduce new regulations regarding attempt limits once implemented. As of now, no limit for re-attempts.

FMGE (Foreign Medical Graduate Examination) 2026 is a compulsory licensing test conducted by the NBEMS. It is for Indian/OCI citizens who obtained their medical degree (MBBS) from outside India. Passing this 300-mark screening test is mandatory to practice medicine in India.
