Yes, LPU is a good university with constant increase in the placements offered to students. Below are the reasons to go for LPU admissions:

LPUNEST is a national-level exam conducted by LPU for admission to various courses. LPUNEST forms the basis of eligibility for some programmes and also for the scholarship programmes. Lovely Professional University offers a four-year BDes programme spread across eight semesters. The university offers LPU at UG level in eight specialisations, namely User Experience, Interior & Furniture, etc. Apart from regular BDes, LPU also offers lateral entry to the programme. The university provides lateral entry to three BDes specialisations. Candidates who have completed Class 12 with English with at least 50% aggregate can apply for LPU BDes course.

LPU PhD fee structure is a combination of several fee components including tuition fee, hostel fees, examinaition fees, caution deposit, and other fees. The LPU PhD tuition fee is INR 3 lakh.

Candidates need to pass Class 12 to apply for BTech courses. Check below BTech eligibility for different specialisations:

• Class 12 pass with Physics, Mathematics and English or equivalent as compulsory subjects from a recognised board with at least 60% aggregate is required for BTech CSE, ECE, EE, EEE, IT and BTech (Hons) CSE Data Science and Data Engineering, CSE-Cyber Security & Blockchain and CSE-Full Stack Software.
• Candidates need to pass Class 12 with PCMB/ Biotechnology and English or equivalent as compulsory subjects from a recognised board with a minimum of 60% aggregate to apply for Food Technology, Biotechnology and Biomedical Engineering.
• Aspirants who have passed Class 12 with PMB/ Biotechnology and English or equivalent as compulsory subjects from a recognised board with a minimum of 60% aggregate can apply for Mechanical, Civil and Chemical Engineering.
• A pass in Class 10 and Class 12 with Physics, Mathematics and English with at least 60% aggregate is required to apply for BTech CSE Software Product Engineering.

LPU NEST application form fee for a soft copy of the LPU NEST 2026 Kit is INR 1000 for boys and girls. The printed copy of the LPU NEST Kit is available for INR 1500 for boys and girls. The application fee can be paid online if the application form is filled out online. The application fee can be given as a demand draft if the application form is submitted offline. If the DD is not enclosed or DD is wrongly drawn, the application form will not be accepted. The application fee has to be paid to submit the application form.

The last date to book the LPU NEST exam slot for phase 6 exam was August 15, 2026. For phase 5, slot booking was open till July 31, 2026. The candidates must make sure that slots are booked in advance. The exam slots are allotted based on availability.
