Shiksha conducted an exclusive poll to gain insights into the IPM college preference of the students. It is revealed that IIM Indore remains a top pick for the candidates for IPM admissions. Read the article below to know more.

IPM Admissions: According to a recent poll conducted by Shiksha.com, it has been revealed that most aspirants prefer IIM Indore for IPM admissions 2025. The IPMAT 2025 is approaching soon, and about 46% of the aspirants have revealed that they prefer IIM Indore over other IIMs offering the integrated course in management (IPM).

The polls reveal not only the college preference of the students but also reinforce IIM Indore’s dominance as the most sought-after B-school for the integrated programme in management.

The poll reveals:

  • 46% of the aspirants are focusing exclusively on IIM Indore
  • 13% of the aspirants are considering IIM Indore and IIM Shillong
  • 9% of the aspirants say that they are open to IIM Indore and IIM Ranchi
  • 2% of the aspirants are looking at IIM Sirmaur along with IIM Indore
  • A large chunk, about 31% of aspirants, are open to joining any IIM that they get for IPM admission 2025-30.

Growing Popularity of New IIMs Offering IPM

While the popularity of IIM Indore continues to grow and dominates the preferences of the students, the Shiksha poll has highlighted the increasing interest of the students in newer IIMs offering the IPM programme, such as IIM Shillong, IIM Ranchi and IIM Sirmaur. Although they are new in the IPM space, they are getting significant traction among students seeking integrated management education.

The IPMAT exam 2025 is just around the corner, and here are some last week preparation tips for IPMAT 2025 aspirants:

  • Focus on Fundamental Clarity: Students should focus on strengthening their foundational stand in Quantitative Aptitude and Verbal Ability
  • Taking IPMAT Mock Tests: Students should take IPMAT mock tests for preparation for the exam. Regular mock tests will help the students adapt to the exam pattern
  • Analysing Practice Papers: By analysing the previous years' IPMAT question papers, students can understand the trend and difficulty level of the exam.
  • Revision: Students should revise what they have studied for the IPMAT exam so far. Revisiona and practice are the key to scoring well in any competitive exam.

No the IPMAT cutoff for IIM INdore and IIM Rohtak are not the same. Both the IIMs conduct different IPMAT exams. IIM Indore conducts IPMAT Indore and the exam conducted by IIM Rohtak is called the IPMAT Rohtak exam. Thus, both the institues have different cutoff and selection processes. Various factors such as number of applicants, difficulty level, number of seats available for the programme and overall performance of the candidates affect different cutoffs.
