Will there be any supplementary seat allotment rounds for UCEED 2027?

How to register for the UCEED Counselling?

The 1st step of UCEED counseling is online registration. Candidates who have qualified in the entrance exam and have been assigned a merit rank in UCEED are eligible to participate in the counseling process. The 2nd step is the selection of campuses. Eligible candidates must register for counseling and select their preferred colleges in order of priority during registration. In the 3rd step, seat allotment is made. The allotment of seats is as per the merit rank of the candidate in UCEED and the choices selected. Post the allotment of seats, the candidate has to pay the seat acceptance fee and confirm their admission.

What is the process that will be used to prepare Part A UCEED 2027 qualifying cut-off?

The qualifying cut-off for UCEED will be prepared based on the following formula: 𝜇 + (𝜎⁄2) = 𝛿, where 𝜇 and 𝜎 are the average marks and standard deviation of distribution of marks obtained by all the candidates in Part-A of UCEED. 𝜇, 𝜎, and 𝛿 will be rounded-off to two decimal places. Candidates belonging to the reserved categories shall have to fulfil a relaxed cut-off mark, which will be 0.9𝛿 for OBC-NCL/EWS, 0.5𝛿 for SC/ST/PwD, where 𝛿 is the cut-off mark for the Open category.

Is there reservation of seats for General-EWS in UCEED 2027?

As per the information given in the UCEED 2027 information brochure, 10% of seats in every course will be reserved for Gen-EWS category. Note that to apply under this category, you must meet the conditions given in the OM No. 20013/01/2018-BC-II, issued by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. UCEED Result 2027- IIT Bombay is expected to declare the results for the UCEED 2027 exam in the first week of March 2027. A login ID and password are required to check the result for UCEED exam. Scores are available on the Candidate's portal.

UCEED 2027 Score Card will be available for download in the second week of March 2027, once the results are declared. The scorecard for UCEED 2027 contains Part A and category-wise qualifying marks. How to download UCEED Scorecard?

UCEED scorecard 2027 will be available for download from the second week of March 2027 to the last week of July 2027. It is valid for one year from the date of release. The scorecard of UCEED 2027 will include the Part A marks for all candidates. Part B answer sheet will be evaluated only if the candidate meets the Part A cut-off and is shortlisted. So, the scorecard will not include Part B marks for candidates who fail to qualify Part A.

What after the UCEED 2027 Result?

After the declaration of the UCEED 2027 result, seat allotment starts. UCEED 2027 counseling application form for admission to B.Des courses was open from March 14, 2027(tentatively). Candidates who qualify UCEED exam need to get registered and enter their choice of institutes in order of priority.

The seat allotment will be conducted in five rounds. To make seat allotments, the committee will consider:

UCEED 2027 merit rank of the candidate
Institutes selected at the time of choice filling and their order of priority.
Selected candidates will be sent provisional allotment letters to their registered email.
They will be directed to an online payment system to remit the Seat Acceptance Fee of ₹ 60,000/- (Rupees Sixty Thousand only) for GEN/EWS/OBC-NCL and ₹ 15,000/- (Rupees Fifteen Thousand only) for SC/ST/PwD.
There are 245 seats in UCEED Participating Institutes.

How is UCEED Exam Rank List prepared?

The UCEED 2027 rank list is prepared based on the total marks (Part-A marks and Part-B marks combined) secured by candidates in the exam. All shortlisted candidates will get a common merit rank (All India Rank). All shortlisted candidates are considered qualified candidates in UCEED 2027.

It may be noted that only candidates who score the minimum prescribed marks in each section of the exam and a minimum total marks will be included in the UCEED 2027 rank list. The minimum marks that candidates belonging to different categories had to score overall and in each section of the exam are mentioned in the table below:

UCEED releases Cutoff marks for B.Des programme for Part A so that candidates can calculate their scores. The cut-off marks for Part-A will be released in the first week of February 2027. The cut-off scores are determined based on statistical parameters, specifically the mean and standard deviation of Part-A scores.

Q: What is the UCEED 2026 seat-acceptance fee?

The UCEED 2026 seat-acceptance fee for GEN/EWS/OBC-NCL candidate is INR 60,000. However, note that SC, ST, and PwD candidates only need to pay INR 15,000. The fee will have to paid within the schedule notified by IIT Bombay. If the candidate fails to make the payment within the given deadline, then the allotment will be cancelled. IIT Bombay usually doesn't make any arrangements like baggage counters. So, it is a good idea for candidates not be bring any unnecessary stuff with them to the exam centre. Also, if the candidate has any doubts, he or she must go through the exam-day guidelines published by exam officials to check if any special arrangements are being made. Since it is unlikely that there will be a baggage counter, the candidate can not afford to bring valuable items and leave it unattended outside the exam hall. It is because if any valuable item is lost, IIT Bombay will not take any responsibility.

Eligibility criteria to participate in UCEED counselling are given below.

Candidate must be born on or after October 1, 2002.
Candidate must have qualified in UCEED exam.
Candidate must have passed all five subjects in 10+ 2 or an equivalent exam in 2026 or 2027. Candidates appearing in the qualifying exam for the first time in 2025 or earlier are NOT eligible.
