SRMJEEE 2026: The application form for SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Exam 2026 is open. Interested candidates can apply online from the institute website or using the SRMJEEE 2026 registration link provided on this page. SRMJEEE 2026 test will be conducted in three phases in April, June and July. Interested candidates can apply for exam before the SRMJEEE 2026 registration dateThe exam will be held as online remote proctored test which candidates can take from their home using their desktop/laptop.

Candidates must check the eligibility criteria before filling the SRMJEEE application form 2026. To apply for SRMJEEE 2026, students will have to register at the website - applications.srmist.edu.in, fill form, upload required documents and pay SRMJEEE application feeStudnets successfully submitting the application form will be issued the SRMJEEE hall ticket to appear in the exam. 

According to SRMJEEE exam pattern, the test will have a total of 130 questions, and each question will carry 1 mark. The questions will be asked from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology, English & Aptitude sections of class 11 and 12 level. SRMJEEE 2026 Scholarships

The SRM University scholarship policy considers SRMJEEE ranks, JEE Main ranks, and board exam performances to determine eligibility for scholarships, which can cover up to 100% of tuition fees, application fees, and registration fees. Scholarships like the Founder’s Scholarship and SRM Merit Scholarship are awarded based on performance in the SRMJEEE and other criteria. Scholarships are available to SRMJEEE rank holders up to rank 30,000.

Yes, SRMJEEE is easier than JEE Mains. The difficulty level of SRMJEEE is similar to class 11 and 12 board exams or a little tough than boards but is definitely lower than JEE.

What is SRMJEEE?

SRMJEEE is an entrance exam conducted to shortlist candidates for B.Tech courses at SRMIST campuses located in Chennai (Kattankulathur, Vada Palani, Rama Puram, Tiruchirappalli), Delhi NCR (Ghaziabad, UP), SRM University - Sonipat (Haryana), and SRM University, AP (Andhra Pradesh).

The exam is conducted as home-based remote proctored test. Candidates can appear in SRMJEEE from their home using their laptop/desktop. The questions will be based on Physics, Chemistry, Maths/Biology, Aptitude, and English, based on the 10+2 level. Admission decisions are made solely on SRMJEEE ranks and seat availability, with candidates choosing courses during counselling.

SRMJEEE 2026 Eligibility

Candidates can check the eligibility below for SRMJEEE 2026:

Nationality: Resident Indian or Non-Resident Indian (NRI), holder of a PIO or OCI card issued by the Government of India, is eligible to apply for SRMJEEE.

  • Note: NRIs, holders of PIO or OCI cards issued by the Government of India who have not taken the SRMJEEE (UG) must apply under the International student category only.

Age: Should have attained the age of 16 years and 6 months on the 31st of July of the calendar year in which the 12th Board examination is to be held.

Qualifying Examination For all B.Tech. Courses:

  • Minimum 60% aggregate in Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry /Biotechnology/ Biology/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Engineering Graphics.
  • Passed in Higher secondary examination (10+2 pattern ) or appearing in Higher Secondary examination in the current academic year with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with any one of the subjects, Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices/ Engineering Graphics as major subjects in regular stream from any state board within India, CBSE, ISCE, Matriculation, or NIOS.

Note 1: For BTech Biotechnology, Biotechnology w/s in Genetic Engineering, Biotechnology w/s in Regenerative Medicine, and Biomedical Engineering, a minimum 60% aggregate in PCM/PMB/PCB is needed. For all other courses, Chemistry will be taken for eligibility.

Note 2: If Computer Science/ Information Technology/ Informatics Practices are considered for eligibility, then the candidate will be eligible only for BTech Computer Science and specializations in Computer Science.

Note 3: Students who have completed +2 under NIOS must have completed the 10th standard from regular schooling or vice versa.

Q:   What is the SRMJEEE eligibility criteria?

According to the SRMJEEE eligibility criteria, candidates who have qualified 10+2 or have appeared in the exam and are awaiting the results can apply for the SRMJEEE exam. As far as the age is concerned, candidates must be at least 16 years of age.

Q:   Who can apply for the SRMJEEE form?

Fill SRMJEEE Application Form 2026

While filling the online application form, candidates will have to upload the following scanned images:

  • Photograph Image: Size should be 200 X 230 pixels, 5 MB
  • Signature Image: Size should be 140 X 60 pixels, 5 MB

After the successful submission of the application form, an application number will be generated. Save that number for future reference and communications. Course/Campus preference selected at the time of application is only for statistical purposes, the actual course preference can be selected at the time of counselling based on SRMJEEE - All India Rank and availability of seats.

Unit 1: Sets, Relations and Functions Sets and their representations, union, intersection and their algebraic properties, relations, equivalence relations, mappings, one-one, into and onto mappings, the composition of mappings.
Unit 2: Complex Numbers and Quadratic Equations Complex numbers in the form a+ib and their representation in a plane. Quadratic equations in real and complex number system and their solutions. Relation between roots and coefficients, nature of roots, formation of quadratic equations with given roots; symmetric functions of roots, and equations reducible to quadratic equations.
Unit 3: Matrices, Determinants and their applications Determinants and matrices of order two and three, minors, cofactors and applications of determinants in finding the area of a triangle, equality, types zero and identity matrix, transpose, symmetric and skew Symmetric. SRM University releases the SRMJEEE mock test for each phase of the exam. The mock test window opens a few days before the actual exam day. Using the SRMJEEE mock test, candidates can practice for the remote proctored exam.   • Internet Speed – Minimum 1 MBPS
  • 2 Gb free hard disk space
  • Windows 8 or above Mac 10.14 Mojave and above

Candidates cannot take the SRMJEEE online remote proctored exam from a phone or tab. Only a laptop or a computer can be used.

SRMJEEE 2026 Exam Day Guidelines

  • Candidates have to login to the exam using details provided in the admit card (Password).
  • The main examination will be of 120 minutes.
  • The candidates are expected to login at least 60 minutes before the exam to take a photograph of themselves and ID proof and to read the instructions.
  • Candidates will not be allowed to end the exam whether the candidate completes the exam or quits the exam for the first 120 minutes from the scheduled start of the exam.
  • Only one question appears on the screen and either the candidate should answer the question or skip the same if he/she does not know the answer or does not want to answer. Once moved to the next question, the candidate cannot come back to the answered/skipped questions.
  • On completion of the exam, candidates are required to follow the instructions provided to close the exam.
  • The ‘I want to submit the exam’ button appears only after 90 minutes have elapsed.
  • The quit password needs to be entered to EXIT THE EXAM (WHICH IS MANDATORY), which will be available in the Instruction Manual for taking the exam.
  • The exam also closes automatically once the scheduled exam time elapses.

Do’s and Don’ts:

Candidates must follow some instructions for the remote proctored exam:

  • Do not move from your seats, during the exam. You cannot take bio breaks during the duration of the exam.
  • You should sit facing the screen throughout the exam and should not look sideways or down.
  • You are not allowed to keep mobile phones, digital watches, or any other electronic devices with you during the exam.
  • You are not permitted to wear sunglasses/headphones.
  • You should take the exam, seated in a room where there is sufficient light. You must ensure you are the only person in the room during the exam and there is no disturbance. Do not entertain any other person in the room.
  • Do not contact/talk to anyone or take assistance from anyone during the exam.
  • Do not keep any text or bits of paper or any material/notes/rough paper with you during the exam.
  • Do not access any other site/screen on your laptop/Personal computer during the exam.
  • Do not try to log in from multiple devices.
  • Do not google or search from any other source.
  • Do not lip-sync or read the questions aloud.
  • Do not cover your face with hair/mask/clothing or anything else.
  • Do not have any background noise/voices/music//TV.
  • You are not allowed to have food/beverage during the exam except for water.

SRMJEEE 2026 registration is currently open for all three phases. Interested candidates can apply for the exam by filling online application form. The last date to apply is April 16 for phase 1, June 4 for phase 2 and 30 June for phase 3.

Yes, SRMJEEE is easier than JEE Mains. The difficulty level of SRMJEEE is similar to class 11 and 12 board exams or a little tough than boards but is definitely lower than JEE.
