SNUSAT Exam Pattern 2026

SNUSAT question paper is divided into two sections - Quantitative Reasoning and Logical Reasoning. Candidates have to solve 40 questions in 90 minutes. Q:   Is SNU entrance exam tough?
A: 

Shiv Nadar University Chennai is a top-ranked university. The accepted entrance exam for admission to various courses is TNEA, GATE,  SNUCEE, and others. Shiv Nadar University conducts SNUSAT which is a university-level entrance examination. This exam is conducted for admission to various undergraduate courses offered on its campus. Students may find the SNUSAT exam tough but worry not do attempt the SNUSAT question papers before going for the actual exam. This can help to secure good marks in the exam.

Q:   What is the duration of SNUSAT exam?
A: 

SNUSAT exam has two sections, Quantitative reasoning and Logical Reasoning. Both sections have a time limit of 45 minutes. Therefore, to complete SNUSAT exam, candidates have 90 minutes.

Q:   Are there any negative marks in SNUSAT entrance exam?
A: 

No. There is no negative marking in SNUSAT exam. Therefore, candidates must answer all the questions irrespective of knowledge of correct answer.

Q:   What is the pattern of exam of Shiv Nadar University? Is it subjective or objective?

The SNUSAT-APT is a subjective online entrance exam, which tests your knowledge of class 11th and 12th. The English section asks you to write an essay in the paper so that you will have to type as it's an online exam. So, the essay part can be considered as subjective, rest every section of the paper is multiple choice questions.
Q:   Do I need to appear for SNUSAT if I appear for CUET exam?

Shiv Nadar University accepts admission to courses based on four different routes for BMS and BSc Economics & Finance. These four routes include:

  • Route 2: College Board SAT – Candidates can apply with a valid SAT score.

  • Route 3: ACT Candidates can apply with a valid ACT Score

  • Route 4: CUET + Screening Form + Class 12th Marks.

Candidates can get admissin to Shiv Nadar University based on any of the four routes. Those who are appearing for CUET will have to fill the screening form to apply for SNU admissions. Along with CUET scores, the varsity will take into account, Class 12 scores.

Q:   What are the type of questions as per SNUSAT exam pattern?

SNUSAT exam has MCQ type questions in Logical reasoning and Quantitative Reasoning sections. Candidates need to solve 20 questions in each section of SNUSAT

Q:   Do I need to appear for APT exam for admission into Shiv Nadar University?
A: 

Shiv Nadar University offers admission into the following departments of the university:

  • School of Engineering (SoE)
  • School of Humanities & Social Sciences (SoHSS)
  • School of Natural Sciences (SoNS)
  • School of Management & Entrepreneurship (SoME)

The BTech courses are offered exclusively by the School of Engineering under Shiv Nadar University. B.Tech course admission requires the candidates to appear for both SNUSAT and APT. Applicants who are interested in other schools need not take the APT. However, those who wish to apply for any programme within the School of Engineering must take two subject tests in Physics and Maths, each lasting for 45 minutes.

Q:   What is the mode of SNUSAT exam?

The SNUSAT exam is conducted in physical mode at Pearson VUE centres. Candidates must appear for the exam in designated test centres that are identified by Pearson VUE. Candidates will find their test centre mentioned on the admit card, Those failing to appear at the designated exam centres will not be allowed to take the SNUSAT exam.
