NEET Answer Key 2026: Download Solutions PDF for All Codes

Students can download the NEET answer key and OMR response sheets using the process shared below-

• Go to the website of NEET 2026 – www.neet.nta.nic.in.

• Click on the link mentioning NEET 2026 OMR sheets and official answer keys.

• Log in with the NEET 2026 application number and password.

• Enter the Security Pin or Captcha.

• Download the OMR sheet and provisional NEET 2026 answer key.

• Compare the recorded responses from your OMR sheet and answer keys.

The NTA asks the questions based on the prescribed NEET 2026 syllabus. If students believe that any question is outside the syllabus or the official answer by the NTA is wrong, they can challenge it. Candidates need to follow the process given below to challenge the NTA NEET answer keys 2026:

• Visit the official website- neet.nta.nic.in.
• Click the 'Display OMR Answer Sheet/Challenge recorded response and Answer Key' link.
• Login with your NEET Application Form, Password and captcha code.
• The option number next to the question under the column "Correct Option" is the Answer given by the NTA.
• If you wish to challenge any option, then select the box to choose your preferred options from the four given options.
• Upload the supporting documents supporting your claim.
• Save the claim and move to the next screen.
• Check all the questions and option numbers, which you have challenged.
• Click on "Save your Claim and Pay Fee Finally".
• Select the mode of payment and pay the objection fee of INR 200 for each question challenged.
• Submit and download the answer key challenge receipt.

How to Challenge NTA NEET OMR Response Sheet 2026?

The NEET OMR Sheet 2026 will be released by NTA along with the provisional answer key. Candidates need to check the OMR response sheet and compare the answers with those marked by them on the exam day. If candidates feel that the answers reflected in the NEET OMR response sheet are not what they marked on the day of the examination, they can file an objection against it using the process shared below-

• Go to the website- neet.nta.nic.in.
• Click "Display OMR Answer Sheet/Challenge recorded response and Answer Key".
• Login using the required details.
• Click on the "OMR Challenge Link".
• You will see your OMR answer sheet.
• Scroll down and click on the "Challenge recorded response".
• Select question(s) for which you wish to challenge the recorded response(s).
• The number next to the question under the column "Captured Response as per OMR Sheet" stands for the option opted by the candidate in the OMR answer sheets.
• Once you select any question for challenge, you will see three options under the column "Candidate's Claim"
• If you wish to challenge the option, you may use the options given in the "Candidate's Claim" column.
• After selecting your desired option, scroll down, click on "Submit", and move to the next screen.
• You will see a screen displaying your challenges.
• Pay INR 200 as an objection fee against each challenge.
• Submit the page.

After the release of the NEET answer key 2026, candidates can calculate total marks for NEET. For this, they need to match their answers with those given in the official answer key of NEET 2026. Upon tallying the answer choices selected by the candidates, calculate the scores by following the marking scheme of the exam, which is four marks for each correct answer and -1 mark for each incorrect answer.

NTA mentioned that the following question had two correct answer options:

Q: Given below are two statements:

Statement I: Atoms are electrically neutral as they contain equal number of positive and negative charges.

Statement II: Atoms of each element are stable and emit their characteristic spectrum. In the light of the above statements, choose the most appropriate answer from the options given below.

(1) Both Statement I and Statement II are correct

(2) Both Statement I and Statement II are incorrect

(3) Statement I is correct but Statement II is incorrect

(4) Statement I is incorrect but Statement II is correct 

Answer: 1, 3

According to the marking scheme of NEET 2024 stated by NTA, If more than one option is found to be correct then Four marks (+4) will be awarded to only those who have marked any of the correct options.

NEET 2024 Answer Key for Retest

The NEET 2024 revised final answer keys for the original exam were released by NTA on July 26, 2024. This revised NEET answer key 2024 is as per the Supreme Court verdict. Originally, the final answer key of NEET 2024 stated that in a particular Physics question, two answer options were correct. Based on the revision, only option number 4 of that particular question has been stated as correct.

During the Supreme Court of India hearing on the various NEET 2024 petitions, the apex court had asked the IIT Delhi Committee to share its opinion on the controversial NEET 2024 Physics question which had two correct answer options as per the NEET 2024 final answer key by NTA. It has been opined that the two options were mutually exclusive and only option number 4 was correct. Accordingly, the bench has suggested revoking the bonus marks, awarding four marks only to those who have marked the answer option 4, and levying negative markings to those who selected any other answer option.   

The NEET 2024 final answer keys for the re-examination were released by NTA on June 30, 2024, ahead of the result declaration. The NEET 2024 re-examination final answer keys were released for the four question paper sets, A, B, C and D, along with their six subsets. There were no changes or revisions in the NEET 2024 re-exam answer keys.

The NEET 2024 provisional answer keys and OMR sheets for the NEET 2024 retest were released by NTA on June 28, 2024. The last date to submit challenges was June 29, 2024, till 11 PM. The fee to submit challenges against each provisional NEET 2024 answer key and OMR sheet is INR 200, which had to be paid through Credit/Debit Card or Net Banking. Unlike the original exam, the coaching institutes did not release the unofficial answer keys for the NEET 2024 re-examination.

Owing to the discrepancies in the scoring system, especially the grace mark system, NTA re-conducted the exam on June 23, 2024, for the 1,563 candidates who were awarded grace marks and the result was declared on July 1, 2024.
