NEET 2020 Marking Scheme and Exam Pattern
Grading the paper of NEET 2020 is possible only if one is aware of the paper pattern and marking scheme. In this section, we will quickly review NEET exam pattern and its marking scheme.
Exam pattern of NEET 2020:
NEET exam was conducted in offline mode, which means that is was held in a pen and paper-based mode. Candidates had to attempt 180 MCQ based questions in three hours. They had to mark their answers in the NEET 2020 OMR sheet with a black ballpoint pen. Each question in NEET 2020 had only one correct response, therefore, for every question candidates had to mark only one response. The total weightage of NEET 2020 question paper was 720 marks.
Marking scheme of NEET 2020:
As mentioned above, the question paper of NEET 2020 has 180 questions and the total weightage of the test paper is 720 marks. Therefore, each correct answer carries a weightage of four marks in NEET 2020. NTA has prescribed a negative marking system for this examination, which is why one mark will be deducted per incorrect answer. Also, questions with two or more responses marked will be treated as incorrect. Refer to the table below for clarity on NEET 2020 marking system:

Importance of NEET answer key 2020 by Aakash Institute
The purpose of NEET 2020 answer key by Aakash institute is to let candidates evaluate their performance even before the official answer keys are released. They also ensure that any incorrect answers in the official answer key can be pointed out by the test takers and the grading system is transparent. Candidates can use the answer key by Aakash institute to calculate their marks in NEET 2020. These marks, when fed into the NEET rank predictor will enable the candidates to find out the expected all India ranks.
