Candidates must note that this is the provisional answer key released by the coaching institute, which was made using the NEET 2020 question paper as a reference. The official answer key for NEET 2020 is released by the National Testing Agency (NTA) only.

NEET 2020 Marking Scheme

The marking scheme of NEET 2020 has been prescribed by NTA. Candidates can use the information given below to calculate their marks in NEET 2020.

Marking Scheme for NEET 2020:

  • The total question paper of NEET 2020 comprises of 180 questions
  • Weightage of the examination is 720 marks
  • Each question carries four marks in NEET 2020
  • Hence, every correct answer in NEET 2020 will fetch four marks
  • There is a penalty of one mark for every incorrect answer
  • Questions that have not been marked will not be counted while calculating the marks
  • Questions, where more than one response has been marked, will be treated as incorrect

Formula to calculate marks:

  • Count the total number of correct responses
  • Count the total number of incorrect responses
  • Count the number of questions that were omitted by you

Marks obtained = 4(total number of correct responses)-total number of incorrect responses
