NEET PG 2026 Cut off: Check Category-wise Expected Cutoff Percentile

No. Candidates need the minimum cut off to qualify for NEET PG. It must be noted only those who qualify the exam with the minimum cut off score will be eligible to participate in the counselling rounds for seat allotment. Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) conducts online counselling for seat allotment. Candidates have to register and declare choice for college and course for seat allotment. 

Yes. MCC has reduced NEET PG 2025 cutoff percentile as well as score for each category. NEET PG 2025 percentile has bene reduced by 7th percentile for general category and 0th percentile for SC/ST category. For general category revised cutoff score is 103.

MCC reduces NEET PG cutoff to fill vacant seats remain after starting two rounds. It is being said students who score top rank wish to get top branches and colleges and they do get usually in round-1 and round-2 NEET PG counselling. Once these coveted seats get filled, students have least chance to get them in remaining rounds. A separate exam is conducted for admission at these institutes, i.e INI CET. The exam is conducted twice in a year in computer-based mode.

MCC has announced round-3 revised dates for NEET PG 2025 counselling. MCC announced round-3 result on February 3, 2026. Round-3 result was uploaded online. Students will have to download seat allotment result from mcc.nic.in. 

In case of two students secure the same score in the NEET PG merit list 2025, then the following tie-breaking criteria will be considered for providing admission:

• More number of correct responses
•  Lesser number of incorrect responses
• Candidate who will be older than his/her counterpart will be preferred
• Higher aggregate marks

The duration of NEET PG counselling depends on number of vacant seats after each round. Usually, the counselling process goes on for over two months time. Each round of NEET PG counselling takes around 15-20 days time starting from registration to reporting. Initial rounds takes a bit more time than last rounds. Candidates have to register online and declare choice for college and course for seat allotment. Registration can be done on the official website. A total of 4 rounds of counselling is held for seat allotment. Based on choice declared by candidates, available seats, NEET PG rank, reservation factor etc. seats are allotted to candidates.

NEET PG 2025 cut off has been reduced in comparision to last few year cut off. The cut off is the minimum marks required to qualify for the exam in that particular caregory. Yes. Candidates will have to declare preferences of choices for each round of NEET PG counselling after registration. It must be noted registration and choices can be declared online. At the same time, choices must be locked in the given deadline otherwise it gets locked automatically. Based on declared choices, seat availablity, NEET PG rank, seats will be allotted.

Yes. NBE released NEET PG 2025 merit list for 50% All India quota seats on August 27, 2025. the merit list was uplaoded online in PDF format, comprising deatials such as NEET PG 2025 rank, AIR rank, AIR category etc. NBE has already released NEET PG 2025 result on August 19, 2025. 

Candidates will have to score the minimum cut off percentile to qualify NEET PG exam. The qualifying cut off differs as per the category. For general category, candidates have to score 50 percentile while for reserved category, the qualifying cut off is 40th. A merit list is released based on marks score, overall rank, category rank etc. Candidates shortlisted in merit list are elligible for NEET PG counselling for seat allocation.
