The Joint Entrance Screening Test (JEST) application forms will be released from January 11, 2021, onwards and the last date to apply online for JEST is till February 14, 2021. JEST 2021 will be conducted on April 11, 2021, and only eligible candidates will be allowed to appear for the national-level entrance exam. JEST is conducted in order to offer students admission to PhD, Integrated PhD programmes in Physics, Theoretical Computer Science, Neuroscience and Computational Biology. Through the JEST scores, candidates can secure admission in the participating institutes in India.
JEST is conducted by the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), which is the organizing authority. Candidates are advised that each participating institute has its own eligibility criteria so students are required to meet the basic criteria before applying online for JEST.

How to Apply for JEST 2021
Candidates can go through the following steps on how to apply for JEST 2021 online which are as follows:
Step 1: The candidate has to visit the official website of JEST 2021. The entrance exam has its own website.
Step 2: Click on ‘New User’. Enter the basic details such as name, mobile number, email ID and password.
Step 3: Once an ID has been generated, proceed to log in by entering the username and password.
Step 4: Enter your personal and academic details as mentioned on your Class 10, 12, Graduation and Postgraduation mark sheets.
Step 5: Upload the documents such as Aadhar Card, Passport Size Photograph and other documents as mentioned.
Step 6: Proceed to pay the application through online mode i.e. net banking/credit card/debit card.
Step 7: Once the application fee has been paid, the candidate will receive a confirmation mail on their registered email IDs.
