State Bank of India (SBI) has conducted SBI PO 2023 mains exam on December 5. The exam was conducted across various cities spread throughout the country. However, the exam for Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry regions was postponed due to cyclone. The exam for these regions will be conducted later. The exam dates will be announced soon. According to the students, the overall difficulty level of the exam was difficult compared to last year. The English Language section was easy but lengthy. Maths section was difficult and GA was moderately difficult. The questions from GA were asked from September and August events. Maths questions were from Profit and Loss, Arithmetic. The Essay writing topic was How Dividend can help in economy in India. SBI PO Mains Exam Pattern

SBI PO mains exam comprised objective and descriptive type tests. The test papers carried 157 questions. The total marks allotted to the test are 250 marks. The marks obtained in the mains exam will be considered for the final merit list. Candidates upto three times the category-wise number of vacancies will be shortlisted for the Phase 3 exam. Prakash said, " The overall difficulty level of the exam was moderate. The Maths and Reasoning sections were tough. The GS section was doable. The English was moderate. The GS questions were data based. In Maths, questions were asked from Probability, DI, Profit & Loss etc. In Reasoning, questions were asked from Puzzles."

Ankit said, "The Maths and Reasoning sections were tough. The English section was easy comparatively. The Descriptive section was good. Overall the paper was tough compared to last year. In Reasoning, maximum questions were asked from Puzzles."

Shivani said, "The exam was on the tougher side. The Reasoning section was tough. The Quant section was tough. The GA and English sections were moderate. The Descriptive paper was easy. In Maths, there were questions from Probability DI, Profit & Loss, etc."

Yes. There is negative marking in the SBI PO exam in both Prelims and Mains for the objective-type questions. For every wrong answer 0.25 marks or 1/4th marks are deducted but for un attempted or skipped questions none of the marks are deducted.

The application fee for the SBI PO exam varies or differs as per the categories. For General and OBC category it is INR 750 and for SC/ST/PwBD there is no fee it is exempted.

The selection process of SBI PO exam consists of three rounds. The selection process is" Prelims, Mains and Interview. Several changes were also done in the exam pattern for the SBI PO exam.
