RRB NTPC Trivandrum Result 2025: Railway Recruitment Board, Trivandrum (RRB Trivandrum) has announced RRB NTPC Thiruvananthapuram result for CBT 2 on December 15. RRB NTPC CBT 2 exam was conducted on October 13. RRB NTPC Trivandrum result has been released in PDF form. Based on the RRB NTPC Thiruvananthapuram result 2025 for CBT 2, candidates have been selected for the CBAT. The marks of RRB NTPC CBT 1 exam is calculated based on the total marks. Normalisation of marks are done since the exam is conducted in multiple shifts. There are also negative marking in the exam.
RRB NTPC cut off is calculated based on the normalised scores. This process is followed to adjust the difficulty level of questions since the exam is conducted in multiple sessions. The scores are normalised using the equi-percentile method. For eg: If the negative marking is 1/3 and candidates have answered 80 questions, out of which 12 were wrong, then the raw score will be 80-12-12 * (1/3) = 64. Therefore, 64 is the raw score.

RRB NTPC cut off is calculated based on number of candidates, difficulty level, competition level. Separate cut off marks are announcedf for different stages. Besides cut off, candidates are required to secure the qualifying marks.
There will be two stage CBTs for RRB NTPC undergraduate posts followed by Computer based Typing Skill Test (TST) wherever applicable. Typing Skill Test for Accounts Clerk cum Typist and Junior Clerk cum Typist. Subsequently, there will be document verification and medical examination. For Commercial cum Ticket Clerk and Trains Clerk there shall be two stage CBT followed by document verification and medical examination. RRB wise short listing of candidates for 2nd Stage CBT is done at the rate
of 15 times the vacancies. The short listing for Computer Based Aptitude Test and Typing Skill Test is done to the extent of 8 times the vacancies (may increase or decrease as per the requirement of Railway Administration) based on the merit of the candidates in 2nd Stage CBT. When a candidate is qualified in 1st stage CBT & shortlisted for subsequent stages as OBC/SC/ST/EWS/PwBD he/she will continue to be considered as OBC/SC/ST/EWS/PwBD respectively in all subsequent stages.
