The CGL online applications were started on June 9, 2025. The candidates must read the official notification to apply online for the exam.
• Visit the official SSC website at ssc.gov.in.
• Login with the OTR credentials
• Fill out the CGL 2025 application form on the official website - ssc.gov.in.

The candidates got less than a month to fill out the SSC CGL 2025 applications. The last date to apply for the SSC CGL online application 2025 was July 4, 2025. The application correction facility was available till 11, 2025.

The SSC CGL age limit is one of the most important components of the SSC CGL eligibility criteria. Most candidates want to know about the age criteria for the SSC CGL exam 2025. Staff Selection Commission releases the CGL notification every year to recruit candidates for various positions in the Central Ministries and the associated offices. There are three types of SSC CGL posts

SSC CGL Age Limit 2025

The SSC CGL age limit is defined in the official notification every year. The candidates should read the notification so that they can understand the age criteria required for the SSC CGL posts 2025. SSC prescribes 4 types of age limit for the SSC CGL posts. These four types of age limits are defined:

Q:   What is the selection process for SSC CGL?
A:

Staff Selection Commission changed the SSC CGL exam pattern in the last notification. The Commission removed the Tier 3 and Tier IV exam from the selection proecss.  The Commission must understand and internalise the SSC CGL exam pattern so that they can prepare well for the exam. 

The Commission also outsourced the Document Vertification and Detailed Medical Examination to the indented department. The SSC CGL selection process consists of twostages:

Tier 1 (Computer Based Examination),

Tier 2 (Computer Based Examination  + Skill Test)

Q:   What is the age-limit for the unreserved category in SSC CGL 2025?
A:

For the unreserved category in SSC CGL 2025, the age limit varies depending on the post. Generally, the minimum age limit is 18 years, and the maximum age limit is 32 years for most posts. However, some posts have different age limits:

Assistant, Inspector, and similar posts: 18-30 years

Junior Statistical Investigator: Up to 32 years

Other posts: Specific age limits apply based on the department and post requirements

There is no age relaxation for candidates in the unreserved category.

SSC provides relaxation to upper age limit to the candidates belonging to certain reserved categories. The relaxation to the upper age limit differs from category to category in the following manner:

Besides above, the following are the other age relations provided as per the following details:

For Group ‘B’ Gazetted posts, age relaxation up to a maximum of 5 years in the case of ex-servicemen including Commissioned Officers and ECOs/ SSCOs who have rendered at least 5 years of Military Service as on the closing date of receipt of applications and have been released:

  1. On completion of assignment (including those whose assignment is due to be completed within one year from the closing date of receipt of applications otherwise than by way of dismissal or discharge on account of misconduct or inefficiency; or
  2. On account of physical disability attributable to Military Service; or
  3. On invalidment.
