SSC CGL Application Status Released: The regional website of the Staff Selection Commission released the SSC CGL Tier 1 application status in the third week of August. The candidates are required to check their application status to know their SSC CGL Tier 1 date. The SSC CGL Tier 1 admit card will be available four days before their exam date. The SSC CGL 2024 will be conducted from September 09 to 26, 2024. The exam will be conducted in online mode at the designated exam centre. SSC CGL 2024 application status will officially inform about the exam date of the candidate, but it will not inform about the exam centre and shift timing. The application status will inform the exam date so that the candidates can download their admit card when it will be available to them. Most of the regional websites release the admit card on the same link where the SSC CGL application status will be released.

What if the SSC CGL 2024 Application is Rejected?
The Commission releases the online applications with the release of official notification. The SSC CGL 2024 applications were started on June 24, 2024, and the last date to apply for the SSC CGL 2024 exam was July 27. The Commission provided the facility for application correction on August 10 and 11. In case the SSC CGL application is rejected, the SSC will provide the reason for the rejection. But in case of rejection, the Commission will not allow the candidate to appear in the SSC CGL exam and their candidature will stand cancelled for the exam.
Difference between Application Status and Admit card
SSC CGL application status will inform about the exam date of the candidates and the status of the SSC CGL Application. It officially informs whether the application is accepted or rejected. On the other hand, SSC CGL admit card will inform about the exam centre and shift of the exam.

Not Fulfilling the SSC CGL Eligibility
The candidates should read and understand the official notification to get all the details about SSC CGL eligibility. Most of the applications are rejected because the candidate is not eligible for the exam. Sometimes the candidates get overage for the application but they fill out the form. In those cases also, the application gets rejected.
So it is suggested that the candidates must ensure that they fulfil the SSC CGL eligibility criteria to avoid rejections.
Photograph and Signature Specification Mismatch
The second most common reason for SSC CGL application rejection is not matching the image specification given in the application form. The candidates should compress the scanned image of the passport-size photograph and signature to the size given in the application form.
In case of any variation from the specified size, the application is rejected.
Not Depositing the Application Fee
Some candidates forget to submit the application fee applicable to their category. This led to the rejection of the application. The candidates should pay the application fee in either online or offline mode but without an appropriate fee, the application is rejected.
More Than One Application
The candidates should not fill out more than one application for the SSC exam because in that case, both applications are rejected by the Commission. In case of any mistake in the application, the candidate can rectify it during the application correction process.

No. The Tier 1 marks for the SSC CGL are not used in the preparation of the final merit list. The SSC CGL Tier 1 exam is qualifying in nature. Candidates are shortlisted for Tier 2 exam. However, the final selection and ranking is based on the marks obtained in the SSC CGL Tier 2 exam.
