REET 2023 Eligibility Criteria
The candidates who wish to be a teacher in the primary and upper primary schools of Rajasthan must fulfill the eligibility criteria of the REET 2023 exam. REET Eligibility is based on different parameters like educational qualification, age limit, nationality, etc. These parameters are set by the Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan. REET Educational Qualification
The Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan has set the minimum education qualification to take the REET exam by the candidates. Candidates who wish to appear in the REET exam have to fulfill the minimum educational qualification criteria for RTET 2023. The REET exam is divided into two levels that are Level 1 and Level 2. REET Level 1 exam is taken to determine the eligibility of candidates to teach in the primary schools (1 to 5) of Rajasthan. On the other hand, REET Level 2 exam is taken to determine whether the candidate is eligible to be an upper primary teacher (6 to 8) in schools of Rajasthan.

REET Educational Qualification for Primary Teacher
The educational qualification to appear in REET for Level 1- Primary Teacher is given below:
Candidates must have completed Senior Secondary with at least 50 per cent marks (Or equivalent) and passed or appearing in the final year of 2nd year Diploma in Elementary Education
Or,
Candidates must have completed Senior Secondary with at least 50 per cent marks (or equivalent) and passed or appearing in the final year of 4th year Bachelor of Elementary Education
Or,
Candidates must have passed Senior Secondary with at least 50 per cent marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2nd year Diploma in Education (Special Education)
Or,
Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education
REET Educational Qualification for Upper Primary Teacher
The educational qualification to appear in REET Level 2- Upper Primary Teacher is given below:
Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
Or,
Graduation with at least 50 per cent marks and passed or appearing in 1 year Bachelor in Education.
Or,
Graduation with at least 45 per cent marks and passed or appearing in 1 year Bachelor in Education, by the NCTE Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.
Or,
Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50 per cent marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
Or,
Senior Secondary (or equivalent) 50 per cent marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
Or,
Graduation with at least 50 per cent marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education).
Or,
Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Bachelor of Education

REET Age Limit 2023
The age limit criteria have been introduced in the forthcoming REET exam. The candidates must know the age limit criteria to appear in Rajasthan Teacher Eligibility Test (RTET 2023). The minimum age to appear in the REET exam is 18 years and the upper age limit has been set according to the categories. The category-wise age limit criteria have been given below in the table:

REET 2023 Qualifying Marks
The qualifying marks for different categories have been set by the BSER. A candidate who receives 60 per cent or higher marks is considered to be REET qualified for the year 2023. Reserved categories. Reserved categories such as SC/ST/OBC are eligible for 5 per cent relaxation in qualifying marks. REET 2023 Exam Important Details
- The weightage of the obtained marks in the REET 2023 exam has been increased. Previously it had a weightage of 70 per cent and 30 per cent for the academic weightage of the candidates. It has been changed to 9:1.
- The Validity of the RTET 2023 certificate has been extended to a lifetime. Earlier, it had a validity of 3 years.
