REET exam pattern 2024 is prescribed by the Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan (RBSE). The REET exam is conducted for Level 1 and Level 2. The REET Level 1 exam is for primary teachers who want to teach Classes 1 to 5 and REET Level 2 exam is for upper primary teachers who wish to teach Classes 6 to 8. To qualify the REET (Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers) exam, candidates need to secure the minimum qualifying marks set by the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE). The minimum qualifying marks for each paper are as follows: A) For Paper-I: Candidates belonging to the General category need to score at least 60 per cent marks, while candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/MBC/EWS categories need to score at least 55 per cent marks to qualify the exam. Q:   What is the eligibility criteria to take REET exam?

A:
The eligibility criteria to appear for the Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers (REET) exam are as follows: A) Educational Qualification: For Primary Level Teachers (Class I to V): Candidates should have passed Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with a minimum of 50 per cent marks and should have a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D. El. Ed) or Bachelor of Elementary Education (B. El. Ed) or Diploma in Education (Special Education). For Upper Primary Level Teachers (Class VI to VIII): Candidates should have a graduation degree and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D. El. Ed) or Bachelor of Elementary Education (B. El. Ed) or Diploma in Education (Special Education). B) Age Limit: The minimum age limit for candidates is 18 years, and the maximum age limit is 40 years. However, there is a relaxation in the upper age limit for reserved category candidates as per the government rules. It is important to note that the eligibility criteria may be subject to change as per the notification released by the Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan (BSER). Q:   Is it mandatory to appear for both papers in the REET exam?

The REET (Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers) exam consists of two papers - Paper I and Paper II. It is mandatory for candidates who wish to be considered for the post of teacher in classes 1 to 5 to appear for Paper I, and for those who wish to be considered for the post of teacher in classes 6 to 8 to appear for Paper II. There is no limit on the number of attempts for the REET (Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers) exam. REET Certificate Weightage

The weightage of the REET certificate has been revised for the recruitment of Level 1 and Level 2. It has been decided that the ratio of the weightage of scores in the REET exam to scores in graduation and boards will be 9:1. Earlier, the weightage of the certificate for the REET exam was 7:1.
