CUET 2026 Shift Timings: National Testing Agency will conduct CUET UG 2026 in multiple shifts for each day. Owing to the number of applications, the number of shifts for CUET UG will be decided once the registration process is over. CUET 2026 shift timings will consist of 60-minute duration for each subject. Candidates can check the CUET 2026 shift timing and reporting time in CUET 2026 exam intimation slip. NTA will release the CUET admit card 2026 2-3 days before the exam date. CUET UG 2026 exam will be held tentatively in May/June 2026. The exam will be administered in CBT mode. The CUET 2026 shift-wise timings will be updated in the table below. Once the CUET 2026 datesheet is released, candidates can know the shift timings. Refer to the table below to know the CUET subject-wise exam time:

Q:   How is CUET exam centre allocated?
A:

CUET exam centre is allocated on the basis of the preferences entered by the candidate while filling the CUET application form. NTA allotes exam centre as per the preference entered and is subject to availability and logistical consideration.

While filling the CUET application form, candidates can select four cities of their choice. Choice of CUET exam centre cities will be limited to the State of permanent address or State of present address only. In case there are very few candidates from a city, the NTA reserves the right to merge one, two, or more cities.

CUET 2026 exam will be held in May-June 2026 in computer based mode over a month window. The exam will be held across more than 300 exam cities in India. Candidates will be able to know the alloted exam centre on issuance of CUET intimation slip or CUET admit card.

Q:   What is the CUET exam duration for each subject?
A:

As per the CUET exam pattern, the subjects are divided into three sections as:

Section I- Languages 

Section II- Domain Subject

Section III- General Test

Candidates will get 60 minutes for each subject. Candidates will not be given extra time.

Q:   In how many cities will CUET UG be conducted?
A:

CUET 2026 will be held in 300 cities across India and outside India. The list of CUET 2026 exam centres has been updated once the CUET notification was released. Candidates can check the list of exam cities where CUET 2026 will be held:

Arunachal Pradesh, Andaman Nicobar, Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chattisgarh, Chandigarh, Delhi/New Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Ladakh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Tripura, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal.

CUET is also conducted in cities outside India.

CUET 2026 Reporting Timings

The reporting timings for each CUET 2026 shift vary. The CUET 2026 shift-wise reporting timings will be mentioned in the CUET admit card. Candidates are advised to report at the allotted exam centre two hours before the CUET shift time.

A PwD candidate may be allowed Compensatory/ Extra time of 20 minutes per hour of the examination, whether such a candidate(having a physical limitation to write) uses the facility of a Scribe or not.

Candidates are informed about the CUET 2026 shift timings on their admit cards. The CUET admit card 2026 is released separately for each phase, wherein the shift or slot timings, reporting timing, and the exam duration are mentioned.

CUET 2026 Exam Day Instructions

Candidates who will be appearing for the CUET UG exam are advised to check the exam day guidelines below:

  • Candidates should try to reach the examination centre a couple of hours before the CUET exam commencement. It must be noted that candidates will not be allowed to enter the CUET 2026 exam centre 30 minutes before the exam commencement.

  • No candidate shall be permitted to leave the Examination Room/ Hall before the end of the examination

  • Candidates are advised to verify the location of the test venue a day in advance so that they do not face any problems on the day of the test

  • If religion/customs require you to wear specific attire, please visit the Centre early for thorough checking and mandatory frisking

  • Frisking through a Handheld Metal Detector (HHMD) will be carried out without physical touch

  • Candidates must enter the required details, paste the Photograph, and put a thumb impression at the appropriate place on the CUET Admit Card 2026. They should ensure that their Left-Hand Thumb Impression is clear and not smudged

  • Candidate must carry “Any one of the original and valid Photo Identification Proof issued by the Government” – PAN card/Driving Licence/Voter ID/ Passport/ Aadhaar Card (With photograph)/ E-Aadhaar/ Ration Card/ Aadhaar Enrolment No. with Photo. All other IDs/Photocopies of IDs, even if attested/scanned photos of IDs in the mobile phone, will NOT be considered valid ID Proof.

  • A PwD candidate may be allowed Compensatory/ Extra time of 20 minutes per hour of the examination, whether such a candidate(having a physical limitation to write) uses the facility of Scribe or not

  • PwBD candidates must bring a PwD certificate issued by the Competent Authority if claiming relaxation under the PwD category. The Scribe provided by the NTA must also carry his/ her own Self Declaration (Undertaking) regarding educational qualification, passport-size photograph, valid government identity

  • A duly filled-in Admit Card must be handed over to the Invigilator while leaving the examination Hall/Room. Failure to do so may result in the non-evaluation of your answers

  • No Candidate should adopt any unfair means or indulge in any unfair examination practices. All the Examination Centres are under surveillance CCTV and equipped with Jammers

  • The candidate should ensure that the CUET Question Paper available on the computer screen is as per his/her opted subject/medium indicated in the Admit Card. In case the subject/medium of the Question Paper is other than his/her opted subject/medium, the same may be brought to the notice of the Invigilator concerned

  • The candidates are advised to carefully read the Subject-Specific Instructions and other instructions mentioned in the Question paper and abide by the same

  • If at any stage, it is found that the candidate has submitted multiple applications, his/her candidature will be cancelled and legal action will be taken, including debarring in all future examinations conducted by NTA.

Q:   What is the medium of CUET UG?
A:

Common University Entrance Test (CUET) UG is conducted Assamese, Bengali,  English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi,  Punjabi, Odia, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu languages. Candidates must note that the selection of medium will be restricted to state/UTs. Refer the table below to know the mediums restricte to respective state/UTs:

Q:   Will CUET UG exam duration vary for each subject?
A:

No, CUET UG exam duration will not vary for each subject. The exam duration will be unform for all CUET subjects that is 60 minutes. Candidates will be required to attempt 50 questions within the given time limit. The marking scheme of each question remains the same.

Q:   What is DU CSAS portal?
A:

University of Delhi, Common Seat Allocation System also known as DU CSAS is a portal where candidates have to register after appearing for CUET exam. Candidates who are seeking admission to UG or PG courses of University of Delhi must esnure to register for DU CSAS. The DU CSAS registration for UG has commenced at admission.uod.ac.in. However, the registeration window for PG admissions have closed.

No, University Institute of Engineering and Technology, CSJM University is not under CUET. The college accepts scores of certain other entrance exams for admission, such as- JEE Mains. Hence, CUET is not required.
