Computer Science and Engineering was the most sought-after branch among the Engineering aspirants for taking admission. Compared with the General AII India category students, the JEE Advanced last round closing ranks were more competitive for most of the courses. For CSE, the cutoff closed at 54 in the OBC category, which was comparatively less as compared to the General category (66) for CSE admission. This indicates that the competition was higher for the students belonging to the OBC category under the AI quota.

The cut off rank in Round 6 for B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering is 67 which is very close to this range. This was for general category under All India quota.
