Banaras Hindu University (BHU) BSc Courses & Fees 2025: Dates, Eligibility, Cutoff, Admission

BHU BSc (H) admission is strictly entrance-based. Earlier, admission was through BHU-UET, however, now the students need to take the CUET-UG exam. The university offers three to four year long BSc (Hons) courses. It is available in different specialisations, such as Agriculture, Mathematics, and Biology. The BSc (Hons) course in Agriculture is also offered at Rajiv Gandhi South Campus, Barkachha, and Mirzapur under Special Courses of Studies. Admission to the BSc (H) at BHU is through the NTA CUET-UG exam. The students have to apply for this exam and pass it with a good score to secure admission to the university. BHU BSc Nursing fee structure includes hostel fees, tuition fees, security deposit, etc. The tuition fee is charged annually or semester-wise. BHU BSc Nursing tuition fee is INR 3,000 and hostel charges are INR 14,625. Students after selection need to pay the admission fee amount for seat confirmation. It must be noted that the mentioned amount is as per the official website/ sanctioning body. It is still subject to revision and hence, is indicative. 

The students must meet the eligibility criteria for admission in BHU BSc (H) Nursing course. Candidates who are Class 12 or equivalent exam pass with at least 50% aggregate can apply. It is important that the students keep the important documents with them at the time of admission. 

Banaras Hindu University CUET PG cutoff 2024 has been released for various postgraduate courses. As per the first round, the cutoff scores ranged between 5 and 650 for the General AI category students. The most competitive course was M.P.A. in Dance (Kathak). BHU has a dediacted placement cell which invites prominent companies for the placement drives. During the Banaras Hindu University 2025 placement drive, more than 65 companies participated. Some of the eminent recruiters during the 2025 placements included Cognizant, Genpact, Adani Wilmar, IBM, Infosys, Wipro, Deloitte, KPMG, etc. 

As per BHU cutoff 2024 for the last-round seat allotment, the minimum rank stood at 1098 for the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) course for the General AI category candidates. Similarly, for the OBC category, the minimum rank stood at 1585 for the MBBS course.

BHU offers entrance-based admissions to all its UG and PG courses. To get admission to any UG and PG courses, it is compulsory to appear for the CUET-UG/ CUET-PG entrance exams. Further, the university also accepts other entrance exam such as NEET, GATE, CAT, etc. for admission to specific courses. Hence, candidates are required to appear for the accepted entrance-exam and also meet the course-specific eligibility for admission at BHU.

BHU MDS admissions are based on NEET MDS scores, followed by counselling round. As per BHU cutoff 2024, the Last Round cutoff for BHU ranged from 5 to 386 for the General AI category candidates. Among all the MDS courses, the lowest cutoff released for MDS in Orthodonitics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. BHU accepts NEET UG scores for admisison to the MBBS, BDS and BSc in Nursing courses. As per the NEET UG Round 2 cutoff 2024, the closing rank for the MBBS course was 1014 for the students belonging to the General AI category students. For the BDS and BSc in Nursing courses, the NEET UG closing ranks were 26356 and 46830. So considering the Round 1 cutoff, students seeking admission to BHU via NEET UG must aim to secure over and over the ranks mentioned here.

In 2024, BHU affiliated colleges released BAMS course via AYUSH exam. According to BHU cutoff 2024, the BAMS last-round for the General AI category candidates stood at 73756. Similarly, the BAMS cutoff for the OBC category stood at 40171. With respect to the BHU AYUSH cutoff 2024, presented below are the BAMS category-wise cutoff:

BHU offers a two-year full-time MSc course via its IIT BHU college. The institute accepts the IIT JAM entrance exam scores, followed by its counselling rounds for admission. During the last round, the IIT BHU JAM cutoff 2025 varied between 325 and 409 for the students belonging to the General AI quota. To get admission into MDS courses at BHU via NEET MDS, a candidate must have attained the highest and the lowest cutoff rank as per the cutoff list. The highest and the lowest cutoff rank for the General All India category candidates stood at 5 and 386, respectively.
