The college is cost-effective and has a good environment and infrastructure.
Placements: In BHU, there is a chance of placement, but it is not for Physics students. Students get placements after completing a B.Sc. in Statistics, CS, and Chemistry. Last year, the highest was approximately 8 LPA for Statistics students
Infrastructure: The Physics department lab is good in my view. Labs are high-tech. Some are not well-equipped, but overall, it is good. The environment is also good. But students should not expect professors to help in the lab. They need to do it themselves using YouTube videos or practical books. Wi-Fi is available in every building of the university (not on roads). Each classroom contains 65–75 students, though its capacity is more than 100 students. Classrooms are well developed.
Faculty: It is obvious that not all professors are always good, but for me, professors in the 1st and 2nd semester were overall good. They help if students ask doubts. They generally do not solve numericals because usually no numericals come in exams. The course curriculum is based on IIT JAM, CUET PG, etc., which is one of the good aspects.
Other: For Physics students, many events are organized based on astronomy, nuclear physics, quantum physics, etc.

Our college is the best for serious students.
Placements: There were very few placement offers, because most of the students preferred higher studies in their respective fields. Actually, since there was no specific placement cell for UG students, there was a very low number of students who got placed, i.e., 30-40 percent of students were getting placed or less than that.
Infrastructure: There was a decent hostel in our college, which was not too good, but there were some basic facilities provided by the hostel, like free Wi-Fi, and there was also a place for playing outdoor games. Overall, it was 7/10, and the infrastructure of the course was good. You don't have much pressure, you have time to explore new things and find your interests.
Faculty: There were very highly qualified teachers from all over the top universities like IIT, IISC. There was no doubt in their qualification, and they were very helpful in nature. I would say, here also, they preferred textbook studying rather than practical knowledge. The semester exam in the first 2 years was not that tough if you study regularly basis, it can be manageable, actually, you can score well in your semester exam. There was a 70-80 percent pass percentage.
Other: See if you are interested in Physics and want to learn Physics, and understand the core concepts of Physics, then I would say choose BHU ( if u don't get IISER, IISC, NISER). It's too good compared to any college you get from CUET. There were so many facilities for students and a very good environment for me. The only thing I was really obsessed with was the library of this campus, it's amazing. There were events, but not like IITs or NITs, but not bad.

Review of Banaras Hindu University.
Placements: In Banaras Hindu University placements in the science department start from fourth year. Only some experiential companies come and also some educational platforms like Byjus, Physics Wallah, Unacademy, etc. The average salary package offered ranges between 4 LPA - 5 LPA. Around 30% of students got placed. I will do a Ph.D. In Physics.
Infrastructure: In the hostel, one room is provided to two students. The room has two study tables, two chairs, two beds, etc. Bathrooms are common and two washing machines are provided. The hostel registration process is at the time of admission and is around Rs. 4,800 for one year. The food served in the mess and canteen is good. The hostel facilities are good. Medical facilities, sports, and games are also good.
Faculty: Our teachers are very helpful and so good at teaching. The best thing is the course is designed through new education policies. In physics lab classes we are learning practical applications. An improvement area is that they have to add all connected topics in a course that they ignored due to their high level. The frequency and timing of exams are well managed. The difficulty level of examinations is quite good.
Other: Many functions like summer carnivals, winter carnivals, Durga puja, Vasant Panchami, fresher parties, and many annual functions are held at Banaras Hindu University. Most actively played sports are athletics, basketball, badminton, boxing, cricket, football, and more. There are around 20 sports grounds, 1 indoor ground, 2 swimming pools, and around 4 function halls.

Best college for providing high-quality education at the lowest cost.
Placements: There is no placement for B.Sc. students in the Physics Department. For a B.Sc. in BHU, you have to give the CUET UG exam conducted by NTA, in which you have to give exams in Physics, Chemistry, and Math/Bio. If you want to do any internship, you have to apply to other colleges.
Infrastructure: All the faculty members are highly educated, and the labs are well-maintained. All the apparatus and equipment are in good condition. There is 24/7 Wi-Fi everywhere in the lab, classrooms, library, and hostel. Hostels are good, with 2 students per room and two beds. Medical facilities are also available. For those students interested in sports, all kinds of games like football, cricket, basketball, badminton, and table tennis are available.
Faculty: The faculty completes their syllabus on time, and they are regular in class. The quality of teaching is very good. The syllabus is well-designed for the students. Semester exams are a little bit difficult for those students who did not attend the classes. Although somehow they pass the examination, some of them also fail. On average, 90% of students pass, and 10% of students fail in one or more subjects.

It is one of the best universities in India.
Placements: As I am UG student, I cannot tell much about this but placements are really good. There is also a training and placement cell that gives guidance related to placements.
Infrastructure: The whole campus is surrounded by free Wi-Fi. We just need to make our proxy ID by visiting the computer center and then we can avail Wi-Fi service free of cost. Campus is very environment-friendly here. All around, we will see greenery everywhere.
Faculty: Teachers are really helpful. They have a deep knowledge of whatever they are teaching. Exams are also good. Everything is done at its proper time and there is nothing to worry about difficult levels in the exams. Students can obviously score better here.
Other: The office of dean of students helps students with scholarships and other things.

BHU is a great life in itself.
Placements: Placement of physics honors is low. Only the top 10 percent get placed that too only in edtech companies. The highest package is around 8 Lacs per annum. An internship is available in the last semester, and all students benefit from it. Most students aim to become teachers and government servants.
Infrastructure: 1300-acre campus with free Wi-Fi is available. Free medical, student health and sir sunderlala hospital is free for students treatment. Food is top-notch with only 50 rupees per meal. Classrooms have CCTVs, smart boards, etc. Labs are little old but have enough equipments to perform experiments.
Faculty: Teachers are very good; they interact with students and make sure that each child gets the concept. They also help with non-academic works. The course doesn't make students industry-ready but gives vast knowledge of subjects. Semester exams are tough, with around 40 percent failing the exam so you need to focus on studies.
Other: BHU is the top institute but most of the students are from Bihar and Up. There are many defense aspirants over here working together to pass SSB. The only improvement required is to add more practical approach in studies. There are not many fests, but there are other activities that will help improve personality, such as NCC, NSS, leadership courses, etc. Sports is top-notch here.

Satisfied because of the facilities of the hostel, library, and sports, but dissatisfied because of
Placements: Since it is a research course at graduation level, there are no placements. This year (2024), some students were placed in the Art Physics wallah and Un Academy. Therefore, if you are coming here for placements, don't come here. In my batch, students have secured single-digit rank in jam, IISC, etc.
Infrastructure: I was allotted the Broacha hostel. There are ROs, water coolers, very big grounds, sports rooms, CCTV cameras, and many more, but the food is very bad. Sports facilities include a basketball court, a volleyball court, three badminton courts, three table tennis courts, carrom, chess, one football field, and one tennis court.
Faculty: Some teachers are very helpful, but some are not at all. All teachers are well qualified and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is okay—not too good, not too bad. Exams are not that easy. In my batch of 100 students, only 2–3 students were debarred or were not promoted.
Other: My batch is very good. You will get a taste of diversity here.

Amazing university good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: For harshly said that In Physics there were no placement. But some time rarely placement takes about places about 2.5-3lp mostly 2,3 student are placed mostly they go further study for M.Sc. here some company came like aakash, etc. For placement about 60 to 70% students get internship like in aaksh etc.
Infrastructure: Here you get proper Wi-Fi. Clean and beautiful classrooms and labs. And best facility in library. In our hostel you get mess and canteen in affordable price. The quality of food is too good? For medical here a health center for students were they get free checkup, medicine. In sports many tournament happens and the best grounds is available.
Faculty: Yess here well qualified professor taught us. There teaching quality is too good they try hard to give them best. Yes this course is relevant ans also made student industry ready. Yaa the semester exams was at modarate level. I guess pass percentage is about 85-90%. .
Other: I choose this course because I want to study Physics I thought that to complete M.Sc. in Physics also. It focus in pure Physics. As such no improvement in this course. Yess there were many events, fest happens. Here also campus crowd is too much. Also you get scholarship.
