Banaras Hindu University the name itself says a lot. It is a prestigious and good college.

Placements: I am a first-year student, so I don't have much information about placements. I heard every good and positive thing about placements in the geology department. One of my friends told me to get a master's degree. The average salary package offered is 8 LPA, which is great.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure in the geology department is top-notch. I would say the course geology at Banaras Hindu University comes at the top list. There are instruments and all basic to advanced everything. I live outside the campus, so I don't know about it but hearing from friends who live in the hostel that it is great. I am studying hard to get a hostel location.

Faculty: Our teachers are helpful. They help you out if it's you who has to ask it's not school so no. Professors will not give up on one attention. The semester exams are moderate. Teachers set fair questions and PYQs. They are enough to crack semester exams. The professors here are very well-educated. Sometimes, they can be rude but they are helpful.

Welcome to BHU for making unforgettable memories for your life.

Placements: Earlier there were placements but only for Masters courses and not for B.Sc. students. There are no placements recently as they are more focused towards research. You can get placed in Maharatna companies of India through GATE. You can even apply for GSI. Internships are solely your lookout.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is really good having a huge campus with a lot of greenery. You will enjoy a lot for sure. There are proper roads so you can ride your scooters or cycles. Rooms are fine and the mess is okay. Every hostel has its own ground. The mess for the girls hostel is far better than that of the boys hostel.

Faculty: Teachers are really helpful. It is BHU so professors are really qualified and extremely helpful. There is proper field training for geology students, so that geologists get field ready. There will be proper practical classes with fully equipped laboratory.

Other: It is a central university so there will be less fees per semester. There will be huge fests that u can enjoy. There are several clubs as well.
