Yes, IIT BHU is recognised by UGC and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). IIT BHU has been ranked 15 by NIRF 2023 under the Engineering category. The college is also ranked 531 by QS World University Rankings 2025. The institute has 15 departments through which it offers various undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral-level courses in Engineering, Architecture, Science and Pharmacy streams.
