Integrated B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering + M.Tech. in Microelectronics - Batch of 2028
4.4

The college has an amazing lab infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: From what I've heard as a 3rd-year student, core electrical companies such as Qualcomm, Texas Instruments, Nvidia, etc, pick up a lot of students from our batch and also give higher packages than our B.Tech counterparts. Texas Instruments gave a 50 LPA for a PPO to a student in the 3rd year. Not very suitable for people aiming for consulting or quant jobs; lesser companies pick up dual-degree students for such roles.
Infrastructure: Labs are very well-equipped with 1 oscilloscope, power supply, etc. For every 2 students. Wi-Fi is available nearly everywhere on campus. The library and reading hall are very accessible. Hostels are not so good; a couple of senior hostels are horrible. Not painted, dirty washrooms, small rooms, etc. Mess food is also pretty bad; I have to rely on canteens and deliveries most of the time. Medical facilities are good, but for most cases, they give appointments with the doctor a week later at a random time, which isn't suitable. Gymkhana is well-equipped. Indoor cricket, volleyball, basketball, and kho-kho courts are available.
Faculty: Some professors are really good; some are really bad. Knowledge-wise, all of them are extremely good, but many aren't good at relaying their knowledge to us. The core course curriculum is pretty relevant and tries to cover the old and new topics, some superficially and some more in-depth. The labs are good for hands-on work, making students industry-ready. Semester exam papers are pretty difficult, but grading is lenient, along with relative grading. You have to get less than 20% marks overall to fail, which is difficult to do. Most students pass, other than maybe 2-3.
Other: If you want to join a circuit branch and work in the core, then this branch is ideal. You get exposure to many labs and courses that are relevant in industry, taught by some of the best professors in the country. Event-wise, IITB is known for Mood and Techfest, which are very well attended. The campus is located in one of the best areas of Mumbai, with good restaurants and malls around. Overall, you definitely should join IITB; convince your parents of this for sure. Don't join a dual degree if you're sure you don't want to work in core.

Integrated B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering + M.Tech. in Communication and Signal Processing - Batch of 2024

Great campus life, and you get to work with top professors in varied domains.
Placements: Placements are really good in the EE branch, with opportunities from all the domains, including Core, Development, CSE, Consulting, and Finance, being thrown open to the students, so no dearth of opportunities. For sure 90% of students get placements and internships, and any student should least worry about those things. You get all the top recruiting MNCs here for the interviews. I feel EE is at a bit of a sweet spot compared to CSE in many regards.
Infrastructure: While new residential buildings are coming up, the existing hostel infrastructure is a bit old, so there are some issues in that regard, and students should be mentally prepared for that. Academic infrastructure, including classrooms, labs, and a library, is at par with what students should expect from a good college.
Faculty: It may feel like teaching is done in the same way as we go through the schools, since it's mostly the lectures and then you go through the exams (pen and paper), so it may feel like the same pattern but after 3rd year you get many opportunities to be more research oriented and curriculum becomes more project based. Course is enough for students to be industry-ready if they put in enough work.
Other: EE as a department will be much better due to higher batch strength, as well as if people take integrated 5-year course, they do get an extra year to spend on the campus if they like.

Review of student, IIT Bombay.
Placements: The percentage of students placed in this course is so good. More than 70% of students can get placed. The highest and the lowest package offered for my course 4 LPA to 16 LPA. Top recruiting companies are interested in this course. The percentage of students who got internships in my course is 50%.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are available in this course. Wi-Fi, labs, and classrooms are available. Library is present in this course. The food quality in this course is so tasty, and medical facilities are available in my college. Sports and games are available at my college.
Faculty: The teachers in this course are so helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. This course curriculum is relevant and makes students industry-ready. Semester exams in my college are so difficult, therefore, the pass percentage is more than 80% in my college.
Other: I chose this course to get a degree, but there is no wish to improve. Scholarships are available in this course. Extracurricular activities are conducted.

It is a good college with excellent faculty members and infrastructure.
Placements: Around 80-85% of students get placed with a package ranging from 10-45 LPA. The average package ranges from 18-20 LPA. Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Goldman Sachs, and Tata Steel are among the key recruiters. Nearly 70% of students secured internships in top firms like McKinsey, BCG, Morgan Stanley, and Qualcomm. Roles offered are data scientist, analyst, consultant, software engineer, and research associate. Overall, placements at IIT Bombay are excellent and highly competitive.
Infrastructure: The campus has decent facilities like Wi-Fi, well-maintained classrooms, labs, and a good library. Hostel facilities are average, with basic amenities. The mess food is manageable, but not great. Medical facilities are limited. There are decent sports and recreational areas.
Faculty: Faculty members are experienced, supportive, and knowledgeable, making the teaching quality quite good. The course curriculum is fairly updated and helps build skills required for the industry. Semester exams are moderately difficult but easy to clear with preparation. The overall pass percentage is high, ensuring students can progress smoothly.
Other: I chose this course for its industry relevance. The best aspects are knowledgeable faculty members and practical projects. It needs better internship support and updated lab equipment. Festivals are fun, but campus connectivity could improve.

Overall, placement support is very good.
Infrastructure: CSE department boasted world-class facilities with 24X7 Wi-Fi, world-class labs, smart classrooms, and access to a world-class library. Hostels are hygienic with 24X7 internet, clean rooms, and housekeeping. Mess food is hygienic and good with two canteen options. Medical facilities are easily accessible. The campus boasted world-class sports grounds, gym, and recreational facilities.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified, experienced, and easily accessible. The teaching is of excellent quality with good practical as well as theoretical stress.
