Detailed review of Jadavpur University - IEE Department.
Placements: Jadavpur University is known for it's placement drive and offers. The college provides the students both abroad and domicile placements of the best packages. About 98% of our batchmates are placed every year. There are mainly three category of placement: core, software and consultancy, of which various roles and posts are offered to the students. This year the highest packages are 1.4Cr, 86 Lpa, 56 Lpa, 48 Lpa and many more. The average packages always lies in between 12 and 26 LPA, and the lowest packages is between 5 and 9 Lpa. The top recruiting companies are Google, Amazon, Oracle, Airbus, ZS, Schrodinger, Wells Fargo, Microsoft, etc for the software drive. The core top recruiting companies are Texas Instrumentation, Micron, Ixana, Samsung, Xiaomi, Nvidia, etc. Considering a batch of 65 students, out of them easily 20 get a good internship.
Infrastructure: Jadavpur University has a vast range of infrastructure. The college is spread over a vast area with a lot of buildings for various purposes and departments. Every department has its own building and infrastructure. All the departments have the best classrooms, well-furnished benches and boards, along with a good sound system and AC. The department buildings are well furnished and painted. The tiolets are neat and clean. The campus is on full WiFi conductivity with a good speed. The laboratories have the best new equipment, including washrooms, safety measures and lab technicians. The campus has one of the largest libraries with a lot of books by various authors of various streams. The campus has mainly three canteens with lots of food options and those are very hygienic. Hostels are very hygienic and have the best quality of foods in the mess and canteen area. Hostel rooms are for 3 students to live together. All the floors have washrooms and water purifiers. All types of sports equipment are present in the hostel. For football and cricket there is a big ground and for basketball there is a basketball court and for volleyball and badminton inside the hostel there is a huge place.
Faculty: Jadavpur University hires the teachers of best quality and best knowledge. All the professors are highly qualified and passed from the best IITs. The teachers are very approachable and friendly. Their teaching skill is top-notch. They take classes regularly and their teaching skill is on God level. They provide us the necessary notes and PDFs and suggest the best books possible to study of the best writers. The semester exams are very moderate; most of the questions are from the teachers notes and suggestions. Also, the previous year questions play a vital role. Most of the batchmates pass the semester exams. The passing ratio is very good every year.

All about JU, Instrumentation branch .
Placements: About 90% of the batch gets placed, with an average package of 10 LPA and the highest package being 53 LPA. The major top recruiting companies are Deloitte, PWC, ZS, Texas Instruments, Protiviti, Polestar, Fluor Daniels, and Haldia Petrochemicals. The percentage of students getting internships is 35%. The top roles offered in our course are Graduate Engineering Trainee.
Infrastructure: The faculty members are good and very well-educated, and they are always going to help us in every tough time apart from studies too. The department has digital classrooms that contain digital smart boards and fully AC classrooms with high-speed Wi-Fi connections. The hostel is also quite good, and it has a good mess community too.
Faculty: Yes, teachers are well-qualified, knowledgeable, and helpful towards students. This course makes the students industry-ready and provides much knowledge about real-life situations. The difficulty to pass the semester is quite tough. You must have a good knowledge of the subject.
Other: I choose this course as it is quite unique and provides a good understanding of the subject. This is very useful in core sectors and renewable energy sources. Adding AI and ML will enhance this course.

In summary campus, campus life is touchable, and placement is very well and strong.
Placements: The placement is good. Even lower-rank branch placements are also good, core package cracked by the student. Much placement is campus placement. The placement cell is strong, and the system is good. Around 4-5 students got Intern in TI. The average package is 16 Lacs, whereas the highest is 44 Lacs.
Infrastructure: Hostel borders get a 24/7 Wi-Fi facility. The library is large, the book collection is huge, and the infrastructure of the library is good. The classroom is good, and some classrooms are AC. Hostel food quality is healthy. In the hostel, indoor games are available, and the outdoor facility is good. The canteen is well-maintained & the food quality is good. The doctor's facility is good. The lab materials are good.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and knowledgeable, and they are helpful. The department is relevant, and this makes students completely industry-ready. Many industries want this course special. The semester exam is a little bit tough, and the pass marks percentage is 40.
Other: Many Fest is conducted by many faculty. 9 days fest is attractive. Connectivity is very good on both two campuses (main and salt lake campuses).

It provides good opportunities at a minimal cost.
Placements: Almost 90% of students are placed. Around 4-6 students out of 41 students get placed in PSUs like IOCL, BPCL, and HPCL. The average salary package offered is 9.65 LPA in 2020. Students participated 41 in the campus placements, and the number of offers is 46. The highest salary package offered is 17.6 LPA in Texas Instruments, and the lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA in Infosys. In 2021, it is affected by corona. The average salary package offered is 9.298 LPA, and the median salary package offered is 6.5 LPA. The minimum salary package offered is 6.5 LPA, and the highest salary package offered is 33.7 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 3.6 LPA.
Infrastructure: In this college, laboratories are well furnished. The classrooms are in good condition. Wi-Fi connectivity throughout the campus. There are places in the campus having democratic walls, where slogans and thoughts of students and student unions are inscribed, including politically motivated ones. Both the campus have central libraries and departmental libraries as well. There are also clubs available. Jadavpur University provides medical insurance at a minimal cost. Everything here in this college is at a minimal cost. Hostel condition is good costing only Rs 25,000 per month. Mess and hostel available at both campuses. CAB i.e. Cricket Association of Bengal and Salt Lake campus of Jadavpur University have their grounds connected, so can hope to see some of the favorite cricketers.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified, knowledgeable, and helpful to students. The courses are relevant to the industry. Leaving out 1 or 2 departments, others all have good placements records. For IT industry courses help and students also have to prepare for outside courses.
Other: In this college, state and central government scholarships are available apart from that, students can also get university scholarships.

This college is just value for money.
Placements: Almost 90% of the students from our branch got placed this year. The highest salary package offered was 48 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 6 LPA. Top recruiting companies for our course are Amazon, Capgemini and many more. Out of 51 students, more than 13 students got internships this year.
Infrastructure: There is a free Wi-Fi facility on the campus. Labs are quite good, and the teachers are good and helpful. The library is digital as well as manual. There are 2 canteens, where the food served is quite affordable. Sports like basketball, football, cricket and many more are available.
Faculty: Teachers here are helpful and well qualified, but sometimes they speak Bengali, which is difficult for students who come from outside Bengal to understand. Their teaching quality is excellent, and the course is also up to the mark. In the third and fourth year, this course focuses on labs, which make students ready to work in companies.
