Average placements at an affordable college in Nadia, West Bengal.
Placements: Global Institute of Management and Technology had a 60–70% placement rate. It didn't matter because the average package was only in the range of 3–4 LPA, which was quite poor. The highest package was 6.3 LPA. The lowest was 1.1 LPA. The biggest truth was revealed in my 3rd year when we were introduced to hiring companies. The college used to advertise with many top companies, but only a few visited the campus, like TCS, Infosys, and Wipro. No other companies even partnered up for internships. The internship rate was only 10%. You could only stand here if you applied for off-campus opportunities.
Infrastructure: The major issue was that the college claimed the campus had high-speed internet connectivity, but in reality, there was no Wi-Fi installed on the whole campus. Only computer labs had LAN connectivity with very slow speed. Every year, the library was refilled with new edition books and had a well-spaced reading room with air conditioning. Canteen food was so good. The college was situated in Krishnanagar with decent connectivity like bus, train, airport, etc. Though the campus had no self-owned medical support, hospitals and medicine shops were available around the college. The college promoted inter-college hackathons, sports, technical fests, and indoor games like chess, sudoku, and treasure hunts, etc.
Faculty: There were mixed categories of faculty members. A few were helpful and had great teaching techniques, but a few were less likely to do so. The course structure involved cryptography, blockchain, networking, software engineering, machine learning, computer graphics and vision, artificial intelligence, databases, and big data. There were project submissions and seminars in the last 4 semesters. Somehow, workshops and internships helped students get to know how companies worked and get clients. The semester exams stuck to notes and books, and the pass percentage was 80%.
Other: This was the only affordable college with an absolute return in placements, so I joined this college. But after admission, I got to know there were a lot of problems, like no Wi-Fi. Hence, I had a very bad experience at this college regarding facilities. If your goal was to get a cheap college with an average package and events, sports, and technical fests, this was a good option. But if you were looking for a higher salary, this would not be a good option. The college should have tied up with more IT companies at higher packages and partnered with organizations for internship opportunities.

I'm satisfied with my stay during 2017-2021.
Placements: During 2021, we got placed well. All 3 sections of GNIT had people who finished without backlogs or with 1 or 2 backlogs. Almost everyone got placed. Students were placed at Cognizant and Wipro. 5 people were placed at Infosys, Mindtree, and Accenture. GNIT was better compared to GNITC Autonomous. Wipro almost took 300 people from the drive.
Infrastructure: Classrooms and the library were average. There was no projector in every class. Labs were 2 out of 5, but they were getting improved. There used to be a good ground, but they built a new building, so the ground became very bad. They even removed the basketball court. We had 3 canteens with good biryani, etc. Hostel canteen food was not good. I think they had North Indian chefs.
Faculty: Faculty-wise, it was very good. They were strict in that they held students responsible for classwork. They made students industry-ready. Those who were willing got good exposure. Exams were conducted regularly. They were strict. Even in mid-term exams, they did not give any chance to be lenient. They were very strict.
Other: Campus life was good, but we were advised not to go too far with friends. Events were not good. Before, they were good, but then they became average. Only freshers got scholarships. There were not many. Mostly, it was about studies.

Go for Food Technology in this department, but try to focus on your studies.
Placements: ITC, Canine Craving, and DBPL are the major recruiters. The percentage of students placed is 70%. The highest package is 4.6 LPA by ITC. The lowest is 1.8 LPA by DBPL. ITC and TCS are the top recruiting companies. Almost 100% of students get internships. The top roles offered are QA/QC roles.
Infrastructure: Hostel is not available. Labs are well-structured. Classrooms are quite good. Wi-Fi is not very strong. A library is available with major books, and if required, they provide them. Sports are held a lot. Classrooms are well-equipped. The majority of classrooms have AC.
Faculty: Most teachers are Ph.D. holders. This course does make students industry-ready. It mostly depends on the students. Semesters are quite tough due to MAKAUT's strict rules. Most students are industry-ready. In the 7th semester, they do internships. This helps them become industry-ready.
Other: Food Technology has scope for further growth, as food will always be in demand. The best thing about the course is that it is quite easier than courses that are mostly Physics- and Maths-based, like CSE, Mechanical, Electrical, etc.

The place that gave me a chance to shine in life.
Placements: Among most seniors, 90 percent of students get placed, but our teachers always tell us that a person is selected only on their own merit, so start creating from the very first day, develop every skill, participate in events, and not only join college for fun. Top recruiters like TCS, Tata, Cognizant, Bosch, and many others come. Start early, make your success early. This is the phenomenon our college follows.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is a little down, but the infrastructure is awesome. To prevent ragging, they provide 1st-year students with a separate building, with all the facilities inside. The libraries are good. Every point you can visit has projectors in class, smart boards also, labs are well equipped, generally a better place to study. Also, the nature view makes your perspective pleasant and calm.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and always helpful to all. As all the fingers of a hand are not the same, all persons can't be the same but all are very helpful. Some may be a little hot-tempered, but they always love their students and help with each topic. If you follow the classes properly and check YouTube courses side by side, you don't have to pay a single penny for extra tuition. Only you have to work hard for better placement and success.
Other: Events are conducted, not that freshers-type. I mean, educational curriculum, like that many occur, but it doesn't mean no dance or events occur. You will enjoy that life here too, but it's not frequent. Many clubs are held here join them and enjoy your campus life. On campus, they have their own gym, indoor sports, and many extras. Mainly, the fees for direct or WBJEE-allotted students are 7 lakhs, and for TFW students it is Rs. 1,60,000, to my knowledge.

IEM College Kolkata review.
Placements: The placement percentage is good here but it is deteriorating year by year, which needs to be checked by the placement team of the college. Here, top recruiters like Wipro, TCS, Accenture, etc., come every year with nice placement offers but the numbers are decreasing, which should be checked.
Infrastructure: I have opted for a hostel here but it has given me negative feedback and therefore I will not suggest their hostel due to its strictness and fewer facilities. In case of infrastructure, the building is not air-conditioned, which makes it less preferable otherwise it has no issues.
Faculty: Faculty are great with some exceptions. They also provide faculty feedback for each teacher every year to judge them according to students. The college has a very hectic schedule that can be an issue otherwise other things around the faculty and all are good as compared to other options in this budget.

Overall truth about GCECT.
Placements: Very few companies come to our college for the placements of the IT and CSE batch, but the CT department got 100 percent placement. IT and CSE students got placements mostly from off-campus. The highest package is 15 LPA. The minimum is 3 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. This college has playgrounds and a big auditorium which can accommodate around 200-250 people. Classrooms consist of good benches and projectors, including 5-10 AC classrooms. The lab is also well maintained and Wi-Fi is available.
Faculty: Faculty is really good and helpful. Each subject has 2-3 faculty members. They divide the chapters for teaching and this college is autonomous and the papers are checked by the college teachers only. The difficulty of the exam is at a medium level whereas a few of the subjects are really hard, and the teachers are really strict.
