An insight into college life.
Placements: 75-80% placement rate. The package number is not disclosed, but there are high-paying packages. Top recruiters are TCS, Morgan Stanley, Trent, and many more. I don't know anything about internships yet. I'm still figuring it out, but there are internship opportunities available in the college for software development, software engineering, data analysis, and AML engineering.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available in my course or department are top-notch. The labs are well-equipped with modern equipment. Classrooms are air-conditioned, and the library is an open-source knowledge centre for everybody. The facilities of the hostel are good, and the quality of food available in the canteen is fine. All the other facilities, like medical support, sports, and games, are available and good.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and friendly. They are well qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good. The course is relevant, and if you go out there on your own, you can make yourself industry-ready. The semesters are not that difficult. If you study really well months before the exam, the pass percentage is almost 85 to 90%.
Other: I chose this course because I took computer science in my 11th and 12th grades. The best thing about my goal is the growing demand in the field of AI. I would like to see more curated courses for every student out there. The events are fun, and the fest is carried out with passion. The campus crowd is good for social networking, and the campus surroundings are in nature. I haven't done much research about existing scholarships in our college, but you can check it out. Extracurricular activities are respected.

Very satisfied. I'm glad.
Placements: Actually, right now I am in my first year, so I feel like my college tells us to do a compulsory internship in the third year. Even the placements are decent, as per my seniors' words. Some of them have been recruited by Capgemini, TCS, Infosys, etc. The average package is 5 LPA-6 LPA.
Infrastructure: My college infrastructure is amazing. I love the way my college is, centralized AC makes us feel fresh and cozy. The Wi-Fi is supportive. Labs are amazing all the computers and other resources are easily available and usable. The classrooms are clear with zero litter campus as the motto even the library is awesome but my college doesn't have any hostel facility. Even though we have a sports building named as then that's amazing for students to feel fresh even though the mess is affordable and provides quality food and tasty as well overall it's best.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is mind-blowing. I love the way they teach. We don't require guidance from any tuitions or classes how much our college teachers teach us is good enough.
Other: Verve fest is conducted.

B.E. in Electronics and Computer Science - Batch of 2025
Offered by Pillai HOC College of Engineering and Technology
3.2
It has great faculty and good infrastructure. Placements are not good. Overall, it is average.
Placements: I don't know the exact conditions of placements in Pillai HOC, but it's not consistent, as there are no mass recruiters. Some average service companies visit the college. Capgemini visits the college for placements, as it hires 10-15 students from the college. Overall, there are a few placements every year.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are old but functional. Benches are small and a little worn out. Labs have Wi-Fi, but they are a little inconsistent sometimes. The library is one of the best I have seen. It has all books required in engineering, and books that are not available in their library, we can borrow those books from the New Panel Pillai too (if they have them). The canteen is great as they have expanded the seating area. The food is hygienic, and honestly tastes good. Overall, it is great.
Faculty: There is a gap between teachers. They don't tend to get that deep with a specified topic. They try to brush up on all the important topics that are in the exam. Here, exams are conducted well with great faculty members. The course I am studying right now is B.Tech in Electronics and Computer Science, which is surprisingly well covered in the curriculum. I am in my first year and have core subjects that other colleges don't offer.
Other: The major event named Euforia occurs every year. Numerous department events are held from time to time.

Overall, I had a good college experience.
Placements: FAMT has decent placement opportunities. Many companies come every year. If we study properly and improve our skills, we can get placed. Our college also gives training for aptitude and interviews, which helps us a lot. Our college has an active placement cell. They arrange mock tests, interviews, and training sessions. Because of this, we feel more confident during real interviews, and it helps us get placed.
Infrastructure: Our college hostel is good and comfortable. Rooms are clean, and basic facilities are provided. We got water and electricity regularly. It felt like a second home for us, but we need to adjust to roommates. Our college hostel life is enjoyable with friends. Rooms are simple but enough for students. The mess food is okay and sometimes good. We also got time to study and relax.
Faculty: Our college faculty members are helpful and friendly. Teachers explain topics clearly and help us when we have doubts. Some teachers are experienced, which made learning easier for us. Our college faculty members are good and knowledgeable. They taught well and gave notes for exams. Sometimes, the teaching speed is fast, but overall, it is understandable.

It has the best students I have ever met.
Placements: Around 50-60 percent of students get placements depending on their academics and performance. The highest package offered is 20 LPA by a well-known company. Companies that visit our college are Deloitte, JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, Wellbeing, Adani Group, etc. Around 20-30 percent of students got internships in some company, and NIT is the top one. Backed developer is the top role offered in our course.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good and not that great. Network coverage is a bit of an issue inside the college. The campus space is close to null. We don't have much to explore. The canteen is good. Our college conducts sports competitions every year in the JVPD ground. The library and classrooms are good.
Faculty: Faculty members are very helpful. Some of them might be less, but the rest of them are very nice to us in terms of behaviour and teaching. They help us in every possible way. The course curriculum is relevant as per the current industry demand. The college is well-known for it. It is not that hard to pass exams, but we have to prepare thoroughly for them.
Other: EXTC is my favourite course. I love both hardware and software, so I chose it. Things that should be improved are the exam pattern and the KT thing, as they are very strict about it. It conducts events every year, so it's okay. The college is very happening in terms of socializing.

One of the best colleges in Navi Mumbai for Computer Science.
Placements: This college has a strong network of alumni, and the training and placement office is also very active in connecting with different companies. They are very supportive. From the 2nd year, I'm also working as a department coordinator. Students are involved in placement, and they guide us to take better placement opportunities.
Infrastructure: The college has limited infrastructure but is suitable for every student. The college conducts major events every year and has good vibes. The college has great music, Wi-Fi, labs, and AC classrooms. There's a silent and great library, and students are always present in the library.
Faculty: Our college has great qualified faculty members. They have a lot of teaching experience and support us not only for academic goals but also prepare us for industrial norms on how to meet industrial requirements and placement on technical grounds. They simultaneously prepare us to be job-ready.

Good facilities, faculty members, and infrastructure.
Placements: More than 99 percent of students got placed. The highest package offered was about 35 LPA last year and the average was about 5 LPA-10 LPA. Last year about 1100-1200 students got internships in top companies. The amount was around 11000. Top recruiting companies like ConnectWise, L&T, Godrej Infotech, Axis Bank, Wildship Enterprises Pvt Ltd, Kotak Mahindra Bank, etc.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, labs, and classrooms are so good here. The library is the best, almost all books are available, if not, they will provide them. At labs, they provide all the equipment related to subjects. The canteen is also good for all students especially for hostel and PG students. The doctor is available the whole day and the sports and gym are also available for all.
Faculty: Faculty members are friendly and help a lot with every doubt and questions. The curriculum is shorter and easier to study which makes it easier to study and understand all concepts clearly. Exams are not that difficult but it's for the best. The passing percentage is above 95 percent every year.
Other: Fest is so good, this was better than last. The crowd is friendly, and the seniors help a lot.

VCET life is happening if you find the right people and network with the right faculty.
Placements: The placement rate of my branch is 60%-80%. The average package for the academic year 24-25 was 3.78 LPA. Recently, a third-year (T. E. ) student got placed in Perplexity with a 1.06 crore package, which the college is milking the *** out of. Students very rarely get any internships from college. Most students use their own connections to get their first internship, which is, to be honest, very fair up to a certain level.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure can be called decent. There are accessible washrooms on every floor. Recently, 2 more lifts were built, making a total of 5 lifts on the campus. Wi-Fi is available in each classroom, but that's no good. It does not have the strength to handle the traffic. The speed is so slow. The library is accessible during its allotted time (8 A.M. to 8 P.M. ), but often you can find it shutting early and opening late. The Wi-Fi is available even in the library. The canteen is ***. The contractor is a grumpy couple. There is a high price for low food quality.
Faculty: The faculty is excellent. Teachers are very knowledgeable in their fields and are very reliable for any support. The teaching style is not very exciting, but if you focus sincerely, it will surely help. The course is not very reliable in general in today's times. Being industry-ready depends on individual to individual. But relying on college and teachers will never help. The college has just received the autonomous status and will be implemented from the next semester, so the exams are still conducted under Mumbai University status, and the difficulty is moderate.
Other: I always aspire to work in the tech field, and I took the first opportunity I saw coming my way. College life is somewhat fun with various events happening all the time. The annual fest of the college happens in January every year. The college is very supportive of any extracurricular activities that students wish to participate in. The college encourages students to apply for government-provided scholarships. The crowd is decent and 90% Marathi speaking students.
