For the General AI category students, admission at IIT Kharagpur was provided for the BTech (Hons), BArch and BSc courses and their various specialisations. To get admission to IIT Kharagpur for BTech(Hons)/BS based on JEE Advanced, candidates must have a valid rank in the exam as per the cutoff list. IIT Kharagpur JEE Advanced cutoff 2025 has concluded with the release of the final round.

The last round cutoff ranks among the General AI category candidates varied between 466 and 19141. Therefore, to get admission to the college irrespective of the course specialisation, candidates must have a rank of 19141 or below if belonging to the General AI category. If the student is interested in top branches such as CSE, then the target must be below 466.

A: 

No, if you do not belong to the reserved categories. For this category, students should have scored at least 60% marks in class 12.

For the unreserved categories, it is 75% minimum marks for admission to the IITs, IIITs, NITs and GFTIs. Students should only apply for the JoSAA counselling process if they fulfil the eligibility criteria. 

IIT Kharagpur Cutoff 2025 For OBC All India Category 

For this category, the top two least popular courses came out to be the BArch course, followed by the BSc course specialisation in Applied Geology, with the last round closing ranks of 6770 and 5621, respectively.

In contrast, the top-most popular programmes were BTech (Hons) course specialisation in Computer Science and Engineering, followed by Electronics and Electrical Communication Engineering, with the closing cutoffs of 212 and 646, respectively.

IIT Kharagpur Cutoff 2025 For SC All India Category 

Students who want admission at IIT Kharagpur have to sit for the JEE Advanced entrance examination and take part in the JEE Advanced counselling process to be eligible for admission to various UG-level programmes. For the BTech (Hons) course, the overall closing cutoff ranged from 102 to 2682, wherein BTech (Hons) CSE was the most competitive course for admission, with the cutoff being 102 in the first round and 108 in the last round.

IIT Kharagpur Cutoff 2025 For EWS All India Category

Admission at IIT Kharagpur was offered to various UG-level courses based on valid ranks in the JEE Advanced entrance examination. Students who want admission to the BTech specialisations need a rank of at least 1768 to be eligible for admission. The hardest and the easiest branches for admission were BTech CSE (78) and BTech EECE (263).

On the other hand, for the BSc courses, the maximum rank needed was 2307. The hardest and the easiest BSc branches were Physics (1966) and Applied Geology (2307), respectively. The easiest specialisation among all was BArch Hons, with the last round cutoff of 2821. Hence, students need to secure a rank of at least 2821 for a chance at enrolment.
