I love my college, and I really miss it.

Placements: The maximum of 30 students get enrolled in this course, and half of them get placements, while some opt for further studies. Students get jobs with a salary package of around 12 LPA. Some students take admission for a PhD in aboard universities.

Infrastructure: All the classrooms here are well furnished, highly air-conditioned and equipped with a Wi-Fi facility. The entire campus has a Wi-Fi facility and clean surroundings. There is greenery all around the campus, and outsiders are not allowed into the campus without permission. The hostel is very facilitated, and the food served in the mess is very healthy and hygienic. The environment is really appreciable.

Faculty: There are very good and highly educated faculty members. They are very helpful, qualified and laborious. They conduct lectures regularly and provide complete notes and assignments. They conduct test, quizzes and also surprise tests regularly. Students perform their best, and this course curriculum is theoretically more relevant.

Review of IIT Roorkee - Indian Institute of Technology (IITR)

Placements: Placements are excellent for the students of mathematics and computer science departments. Students of ECE and EE departments were also well-placed. There is an excellent scope for civil service examination. The highest salary package offered is around Rs.1 crore by Microsoft, Redmond. It was offered to the students of the CSE department. Companies like Adobe, Google, Microsoft, banking and finance companies also visited our college for placements drive.

Infrastructure: Our college has one of the best infrastructural facilities when compared to all other IITs. The infrastructure of all the departments is well-developed. Library facilities are excellent. Our college has a huge and awesome central library. Many departmental libraries are also available here. They are well-equipped, and the college also provides wonderful sports facilities including a swimming pool.

Faculty: Our college provides one of the best curricula in terms of mathematics, statistics and computing subjects. Highly qualified professors and teachers are available here. Excellent research facilities are available on the campus. The college will provide good funding for higher studies and research. Faculty members are well-versed with research interests, and they get excited to take the classes.

Other: Our college organises a cultural event named Thomso which is the biggest and one of the bests fests in north India. The college also organises a technical fest named Cognizance, and it's really awesome.

An amazing place to study mathematics.

Placements: The placements are good. The batch of 2018 received pretty good packages, ranging from 8-18 lpa, and was placed in analytics companies mainly (sky is the limit if you plan to work harder). However, not everyone registers for placements, as this is a research-oriented course. The PhD placements are pretty good too. Students have bagged PhD positions in USA, Germany, etc. As far as internships are considered, an average IIT student gets a slight edge while they submit their resumes for internships to the companies. There is a centralised placement cell, which takes care of all the internship/placement related matter.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of IIT, Roorkee is pretty amazing. It was built in the year of 1847 by the British. The lecture halls are like the ones we see in movies. Labs are amazing and one of the best in the country. The main library is huge, and has a vast collection of books and periodicals. Hostels are also pretty good and spacious.

Faculty: IITs are known for their interdisciplinary research work, so one can easily understand how good the faculty is. The student to faculty ratio is one of the lowest in the country. The faculty members teach with utmost dedication, but are strict too, at the same time. The curriculum in IITs is quite up to date, so one gets to learn a lot. Lectures by domain experts, industry meets, and internships, etc., are ample in IIT Roorkee.

Other: The major fests of IITR are Thomso and Cognizance, where the average footfall is around 10k. The music, dramatics, and quizzing sections are quite active here. Sports facilities are pretty good too.

Placements: The percentage of placements is increasing every year with a good record. It should be said that this college is the best in India for doing integrated M.Sc and M.Sc courses in applied mathematics. Placement percentage, as well as the average package provided to the students, has increased to a large extent.

Infrastructure: The hostel and all other facilities are above average. The infrastructure at the place where we study is up to the mark and brilliant. The college must be recommended on the basis of this. Any individual can have an amazing experience in such a diverse college.

Faculty: The faculty of the college are the best. The course structure is designed in such a way that the student would learn many things without his/her time being wasted. There are a vast number of courses available from PhD to B.Tech including M.Sc. This institution has a huge history. So, focus on the entrance and be a part of this college. Many in-campus activities are conducted.

The most beautiful campus I have ever seen.

Placements: I am one of those who got the campus placement, and frankly, I want to share that I am the only person from my branch who got the campus placement. It does not mean that IITR placement is not good. It happened because my classmates are not serious about placement. Most of my classmates go for higher studies. If I talk about the data of placement 2017, there are about 1400 registered student, and the total offered campus placements are about 1000. If I added the students who got admission in higher studies, this count increases by about 200. If you are serious about placement, then there are 90 to 98% chance that you will get placement. For the internship, IITR students mostly do internship off campus. In 2017, about 250 companies come to campus for placement. If you are an average student, then you simply get 6-10 lakh annual package. IITR placement offered all types of role. Dream a job, IITR placement will provide you with the job.

Infrastructure: The campus is very good. The campus is fully Wi-Fi enabled, and it has a common password, so no worry about search history. The campus has advanced level classrooms. IITR was established in 1847, so the central library has a lot of books collection. You can find some religious book in IITR library. IITR has a small and beautiful hospital with an emergency ward. If I talk about sports in IITR, there are five grounds and one special ground for hockey and one for football, and there are two separate indoor sections, one in MAC, and another is in sports council. Every department has a separate library, and one computer lab and some departments have canteen also. In two words, I want to say that "life lives here".

Faculty: The professors are very knowledgeable. They are friendly with students, sometimes we (IITR Students) enjoy festivals with faculty and their family. They invite us on different occasions. We have a defined course structure, as well as syllabus so generally professor, follow it, but they also motivate us to study beyond the syllabus, and sometimes they also defined current scenario which is related to our syllabus. If you have any problem, IITR has at least one person who solves your problems. If I talk about the qualification of faculty, we have faculty graduated from the best college in India including IISC, IIT, IIM, AIIMS as well as from outside of India also.
