For candidates belonging to the OBC category under the AI quota, the IIT BHU JEE Advanced cutoff 2025 varied between 528 and 6900 for admission to the BTech course across multiple specialisations. The cutoff ranks vary for different courses, rounds, categories, and quotas. Tabulated below are the JEE Advanced first and last-round closing ranks of BTech for the OBC AI category students. 

IIT Varanasi has released the category-wise cutoffs for various BTech specialisations. For BTech admissions, JEE Advanced is conducted widely by IITs. A JEE Advanced rank of 3000 under OBC category can be considered as the decent rank, however, this rank is insufficient to secure BTech in CSE programme in 2024. Other than CSE, the top courses for which candidates have the option to get a seat at IIT BHU are Chemical Engineering,  Mechanical Engineering,   Metallurgical Engineering, Mining Engineering and Ceramic Engineering.

For 2025, the IIT Varanasi JEE Advanced cutoff ranged between 1489 and 20792 for BTech admission across multiple specialisations based on the last round cutoff list for the General AI category candidates, wherein BTech in Computer Science & Engineering was the most competitive. Those students who are aiming for top specialisation should strive to attain a rank of 1489 or lower to increase their chances of admission at IIT BHU. Although please keep in mind that the cutoff will vary across different categories and rounds.

The total tuition fee for BTech programme at IIT Varanasi ranges between INR 3.2 Lacs to INR 8.5 lakh. This fee only includes the cost of tuition for the BTech programme and does not consist of the mess fee or the hostel fee. The fee is taken from unofficial sources and hence is indicative. To apply for JEE Main 2023, candidates must pay the application fee of INR 1,000 for Boys and INR 800 for Girls. Yes, IIT BHU offers Merit-cum-Means scholarships to 25% undergraduate students. Besides, there are several endowment scholarships offered by the Institute. Some other facilities are also provided to undergraduate students in the form of Institute free studentship, scholarships, reimbursement of mess charges and pocket allowances to the students belonging to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. All the students (non-sponsored) admitted to M.Tech or MPharm programmes are provided financial assistance equivalent to the Junior Research Fellowships. The institute also offers a large number of Junior/Senior Research Fellowships to students admitted to PhD programmes.

IIT Varanasi provides ten BTech specialisations, including Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Pharmaceutics Engineering & Technology, Electrical Engineering, and Electronics Engineering. Eligibility for BTech admission at IIT Varanasi is based on meeting the criteria for JEE Main and JEE Advanced. Prospective students who have completed their Class 12 in the Science stream with a minimum of 75% aggregate (or 65% for SC/ST/PwD) are eligible to apply.
