NIT Warangal Course Admission 2025: Cutoff, Fees, Eligibility & Application

NIT Warangal offers courses at UG and PG levels in the Engineering, Management and Science streams. BTech is the flagship programme of the instiute offered at the UG level.  At the postgraduate level, the institute offers MTech, MBA, and other courses to students. National Institute of Technology, Warangal (NIT Warangal) also offers PhD and several other programmes to students.

NIT Warangal MSc is a two-year duration programme offered in three specialisations. National Institute of Technology, Warangal MSc admission is entrance-based and depends on candidates' performance in Joint Admission Test (JAM). It is an all-India-level online entrance exam conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) every year on a rotational basis. 

NIT Warangal cutoff 2024 has been released for Round 1. As per the BTech cutoff, the Round 1 closing ranks ranged between 1899 and 25407. For OBC, the cutoff ranks ranged between 609 and 10096. For both the categories, CSE was the most competitive BTech specialisation.

Candidates receive a refund of caution deposit, hostel fee and mess advance after deduction of INR 5,000 and mess charges, if any on cancellation of admission before the date of commencement of class work at NIT Warangal. 

For cancellation on or after the date of commencement of class work, caution deposit and mess advance is refunded. Hostel is not refundable.

NIT Warangal offers a two-year MCA course. Candidates interested in applying to the course must meet the following eligibility criteria: 

• A minimum of 60% aggregate in graduation
• In case of CGPA, a minimum of 6.5/10 is required
• Candidates from the reserved categories are given a concession of 5% in the minimum aggregate required in graduation

NIT Warangal cutoff for the MCA course is based on NIMCET scores followed by the round-wise counselling. Candidates looking for the MCA admissions must meet the cutoff set by the NIT Warangal. During the last round cutoff 2024, the closing rank for the MCA course stood at 243 for the General AI category students. Comparing the latest year’s cutoff with the previous year, the last round closing rank for the course stood at 86 in 2023 for the same category.

NIT Warangal cutoff 2025 has been released for the first round. The cutoff was released for candidates seeking admission to MSc specialisations in the college. Among the General AI category candidates, the round 1 cutoff ranks varied between 267 and 1171. Among the OBC AI category candidates, the ranks varied between 428 and 1512. Yes, NIT Warangal offers MCA specialisation based on NIMCET scores. NIMCET is a Common Entrance National Level Test, conducted by any of the NITs, for admission in to their MCA programme. The MCA programme is offered by NITs at Agartala, Allahabad, Bhopal, Jamshedpur, Kurukshetra, Patna, Raipur, Surathkal, Tiruchirappalli, Warangal and IIIT at Bhopal. The admission into the MCA programme for the year 2024-25 in above 10 NITs and 01 IIIT is based on the Rank obtained in NIMCET-2024 only.

NIT Warangal admissions 2024 are based on NIMCET scores for MCA course. With a 70 percentile in 12th, candidates can easily get into NIT Warangal through NIMCET exam. Below are the basic percentile criteria for eligibility to be fulfilled by the candidates.

• Candidates must be holding graduation degree, such as BCA/B.Sc (Hons)/B.Sc/ BIT as per 10+2+3 pattern from a recognised University.
• Candidates must have studied Mathematics or Statistics or equivalent subject during graduation degree.
• General category candidates need to score at least 60% marks or score 6.5 CGPA aggregate.
• Candidates belonging to SC/ST category need to obtain at least 55% marks or score 6.0 CGPA on a 10 point scale in an aggregate of all subjects.

Opening and Closing ranks depends on the category and quota of candidates. For general category under All India, opening rank was 21301 and closing rank was 32625. Cut off are different when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. In All India, opening and closing rank for female candidates was 32379 and 42831. Admission to BTech in Civil Engineering in NIT Warangal is based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam JEE. Applicants are advised to confirm what category are they applying while checking for cut offs.

NIT Warangal NIMCET cutoff 2024 has been concluded after the release of Round 4 for MCA admission. The Cutoff was released as Opening and closing ranks for different categories under the AI quota. For the General AI category candidates, the cutoff closed in Round 4 at 243. For the SC AI category candidates, the cutoff for the same course closed at 2034.

NIT Warangal BTech CSE is a four-year UG course. Some of the subjects taught during the coure as per the official curriculum are:
