NID DAT 2026 B.Des Result: How to check, Rechecking Window, Shortlisting Criteria for Mains

 NID DAT Result for B.Des Prelims will be out on April 07, 2026 for all the candidates who appeared for the NID DAT Written Exam conducted on December 21, 2026. The result will be released on the website of NID: admissions.nid.edu. Email ID and Password are required to download the NID Scorecard 2026 for B.Des Prelims. The rechecking window will open on the same day, April 07, 2026, and will close on April 08, 2026 at 11:59 PM. NID DAT Rechecking window is usually limited to verifying calculation errors or unmarked answers, not a re-evaluation of subjective content.

NID Prelims/Mains results are released online on the website of NID. Candidates can download the result using their email id and date of birth.

3. On login, the NID DAT results will be displayed on the screen.

Components in the NID B.Des Prelims Result

The following components are present in the NID Prelims Result for B.Des.

NID Rechecking Window 2026 for B.Des Result

The rechecking process is restricted to

• Whether all the answers have been marked.
• Whether there has been any mistake in the totalling of marks for each question in Part II of the answer booklet, and in transferring the marks correctly onto the first cover page of the answer booklet.

The rechecking process does not involve a re-evaluation of any other aspect of the answer booklet. Candidates were required to submit a fee of INR 2,000 per discipline for their requests.

• No other re-evaluation of the NID answer sheet or other work done by the candidate as a part of the examination will be carried out.
• No candidate, person or organisation shall be entitled to claim re-evaluation or disclosure or inspection of the answer scripts or copies of them and other documents, as these are treated as most confidential by the NID Admissions Cell.
• On rechecking the answer booklet, if it is found that there is an error, the marks will be revised accordingly. The communication regarding the revision of marks, if any, shall be sent to the requesting candidate's registered email ID.

How are candidates shortlisted for NID DAT Mains for B.Des?

National Institute of Design will be selecting candidates on the basis of 1.5x the total number of NID seats (under each category) for NID Mains. Mains Exam will consist of Studio Sensitivity Test and In-Person Sensitivity Test.

• NIDs will use the score of the DAT Mains for admission to their respective institution.
• If seats remain vacant, independent NIDs may conduct additional DAT Mains Exam for admission to vacant seats in their respective campuses.
• In case the total marks scored by two or more candidates are the same, the tie-break policy will be used for awarding ranks, which will be announced later.
