NID DAT Prelims is the first stage of the NID admission process for B.Des and M.Des Programmes. NID 2026 Entrance Exam (Prelims) was conducted on December 21, 2025 for B.Des and M.Des. The DAT Prelims question paper will have two sections - Part I & Part II. The exam will be conducted as a paper-and-pencil/pen test. The question paper may include textual and visual questions. The question paper will be in the English language only.
NID DAT 2026 Applications was open for B.Des and M.Des. The last date to fill the application form was December 01, 2025.

Both institutions offer the BDes course but with completely different admission processes. IIT Indore accepts admission based on the UCEED entrance exam, while BITS Pilani considers the NID Entrance exam/ BITSAT exam result.
