Eligibility Criteria for BSNL JTO Recruitment through GATE 2025

The authority will provide the details of the eligibility criteria for BSNL JTO 2025 recruitment. Candidates can check the requirements set by the conducting authority from below.

Q:   What are passing marks in GATE exam?
A:

Passing marks in GATE exam is different for all 30 papers. The GATE qualifying mark for PSUs recruitment is also different. Candidates appearing in any GATE paper have to obtain the minimum mark in order to be declared qualified for the exam. Only qualified candidates are considered for admission to MTech/MSc/PhD programs and the MHRD scholarship. Candidates can check the previous year GATE cutoff for various papers on the Shiksha page or from the GATE official website.

Q:   What are the eligibility criteria for COAP?
A:
It is advised that the candidates check the eligibility criteria before COAP 2023 registration. Applications from candidates who do not meet the eligibility conditions are liable to be rejected. Therefore, all candidates must fulfil all the eligibility conditions. Check below for the eligibility criteria: - The candidate must be an Indian national. - Candidates must have a valid GATE score, I. e. , be qualified in 2023/2022/2021. - In the case of more than one valid scorecard, candidates must provide the scorecard with a better score or rank. - Candidates must check the eligibility criteria of the respective institute before applying. Q:   After declining/rejecting the offer, can I be considered for subsequent offers for COAP rounds?
A:

After declining/rejecting the offer (s) in a particular round, you will not be considered for the same offer (s). In case, you have given higher preferences in M.Tech. Application, then you may be considered for the higher preferences in the subsequent round (s) of offers based on the availability of vacancies and merit list, within the rules of that institute. Also, after the last/final round at COAP no offers will be available at COAP. For any offer/admission related matter, candidates must visit the respective Academic Institutes Admission Portal.

Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must have BE/BTech programme or equivalent in Civil Engineering for JTO (Civil) and in Electrical Engineering for JTO (Electrical) from a recognized Institution/University and must appear in GATE 2025.
  • Such candidates should have passed and opted for one paper from the two selected disciplines of the GATE paper codes, namely, Electrical Engineering (EE) and Civil Engineering (CE).

GATE Registration ID

 All the willing candidates must have a GATE Registration ID (13 digits) for applying for DR-JTO (Civil) & DRJTO (Electrical) online Registration.

BSNL JTO recruitment through GATE 2025 Selection Process

  • The mode of selection is through GATE result 2025.
  • GATE will be conducted by IIT Roorkee on February 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025.
  • After the declaration of the GATE 2025 result, the circle-wise merit list will be prepared based on the GATE 2025 score and available vacancies in the circle.
  • BSNL shall not conduct any further Examinations/interviews, etc., to select candidates for the recruitment of Direct JTO (Civil) and JTO (Electrical) in BSNL.
  • The appearance of the name in BSNL’s merit-list does/will not confer any right on the candidate for employment. A final call/appointment letter will be issued to the candidate after completion of all other formalities.
  • BSNL reserves the right to change the number of vacancies of JTO (Civil) & JTO (Electrical) as per Company requirement

BSNL JTO recruitment through GATE 2025 – Application Form

  • Firstly, candidates have to register to the BSNL website.
  • Candidates applying for JTO(Civil) & JTO(Electrical) posts are required to apply online
  • The applications form of BSNL JTO recruitment through GATE 2025 from the second week of February 2025 and will be ended in the second week of March 2025.
  • All candidates applying for JTO (Civil) & JTO (Electrical) posts are required to read all the instructions provided before filling the online application form.

Application Fees:

The application fee of Rs.1000 for OBC candidates and Rs.500 for SC/ST candidates should be paid through online mode i.e. Internet Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card only.

Q:   Who is eligible for GATE exam?
A:

Applicant's registration will not be accepted if GATE eligibility criteria is not fulfilled by the applicant. As per the GATE rules and criteria conditions -

  • Candidates must be studying in 3rd year or final year, or must have passed their graduation degree.
  • There is no attempt limit to apply for GATE exam
  • Also, there is no age restrictions to apply for GATE.

Q:   Can I write GATE for mechanical engineering after completing B.Tech in chemical engineering?
A:

Yes, you can take GATE exam with mechanical. The GATE authority allows two paper combination for various papers in case any candidate wish to appear in more than one paper in the same year. The list of two paper combinations for GATE can be checked on the Shiksha page as well as the official website of GATE. 

Q:   For how many papers can one student apply in GATE 2026?
A:

Students applying for GATE 2025 can opt for two subject papers from the prescribed set of combinations. Earlier, the candidates could apply to appear in only one subject. As a candidate can appear in only two papers (only approved set) of the 30 papers for which the GATE 2025 will be conducted, they must carefully choose the papers they wish to write. A candidate is expected to appear in the papers appropriate to the discipline of his or her qualifying degree. However, he or she is free to choose any paper according to his or her admission plan, keeping in mind the GATE eligibility criteria of the institutions in which he or she wishes to seek admission. For more details regarding the admission criteria at any particular institute, the candidate is advised to refer to the websites of that institute. Those candidates opting for two paper combinations for GATE 2025 have a primary choice of paper as their default choice. The second choice of paper has to be chosen from the combinations allowed.   • The candidates have to be bond with BSNL for a period of five years from the appointment of JTO (Civil) & JTO (Electrical).

GATE 2027 is expected to be conducted by IIT Madras for all 30 branch papers. Official announcement will be made soon.

The GATE exam is conducted once a year. The entrance test takes place on multiple dates and shifts for 30 test papers. For 2026, IIT Guwahati is conducting the exam on February 7, 8, 14, and 15.

The GATE cutoff changes every year depending on seat intake, number of applicants appeared in exam, toughness of question paper, and previous cutoff trends. Candidates who meet cutoff score can participate for counselling.

No, a duplicate GATE 2026 admit card will not be provided at the test center. Candidates must carry their own admit card along with the mentioned documents and items to the GATE exam center. IIT Guwahati will release the GATE admit card on January 2.

Yes, candidates will get a scribble pad in the GATE exam 2026 to do the rough work. Candidates have to write their name and registration number on the scribble pad before using it. However, the rough sheet must be returned after the completion of the exam.

The barcode present in the GATE admit card 2026 carries the candidate's information. It is required for a faster verification process and fraud prevention. So, make sure it does not get tampered. Carry multiple copies in case your GATE 2026 hall ticket is torn or tampered.
