The spot rank in KCET 2025 is the process conducted by KEA for candidates who results were witheld due to incorrect registration number or 12th class marks in the KEA KCET mark entry portal. For such candidates, the KEA activates the mark entry link for a specific period of time to upload their correct details, based on which candidates will be provided KCET rank.
To access the KCET spot rank details, candidates need to provde their CET number and date of birth. The KEA has opened the KCET mark entry link for candidates who did not receive their KCET rank after the result announcement. The link is active from May 26 to 29, based on which the ranking will be provided to the applicants.
The stages includes registering, generation of admit card, appearing for exam, results announcement, counselling, seat allotment and final admission.

No. There is no negative marking in the KCET examination.
The exam is in offline mode with questions asked in MCQ format for subjects like physics, mathematics, chemistry and biology containing 60 questions wherein each subject is a session for 80 minutes.
The marking scheme for KCET is 1 mark for each correct answer with no negative marking.

The cutoff ranks vary for differnt rounds and categories. If you belong to the General AI category, the KCET last round closing rank for BTech in CSE was 70084. Under the HS quota, the cutoff rank for the same stood at 77281.

If you belong to the General AI quota, yes 29000 in KCET is considered to be a good rank for BTech admission at CMR University. Karnataka Examination Authority releases the KCET marking scheme in the official notification. Applicants appearing in the exam will be awarded one mark for every correct answers. There will be no negative marking for wrong answers in KCET exam. KEA will not deduct any marks for unattempted questions in KCET exam. As the exam is conducted in offline mode, applicants are advise to mark their answers carefully in OMR sheet. The questions with multiple options marked will be considered as wrong. Candidates are advise to cross check their answers before marking it in OMR sheet. Do not write anything on KCET OMR sheet other than marking answers.
