Are you appearing for KEAM 2021 exam? Here are the KEAM 2021 exam day guidelines and dos and don’ts on the exam day.

CEE Kerala will be conducting KEAM 2021 examination on August 05. The exam was earlier due to the postponement of JEE Main examinations. Candidates must maintain some precautionary measures and must follow KEAM 2021 exam day guidelines. Apart from maintaining decorum in the KEAM exam centre, candidates need to follow social distancing, wear masks, download Arogya Setu App etc. Below are the complete guidelines about dos and don’ts for KEAM 2021 examination and COVID-19 precautionary instructions.

KEAM 2021 Exam Day Guidelines

  • Each Paper will be of three duration.
  • A candidate not appearing in any one of the papers, in the Engineering Entrance Examination, will be disqualified, and will not be considered for ranking in Engineering Entrance Examination.
  • In other words, appearance in the two relevant papers: Paper I - Physics & Chemistry and Paper-II Mathematics is compulsory for being considered in the Engineering rank list.
  • The Engineering Entrance Examination will be objective type with Multiple Choice Questions and based on a single response.
  • The candidate will have to select and mark the alphabet (A, B, C, D or E) corresponding to the most appropriate response in the OMR Answer Sheet.
  • The question paper for objective type examinations will be given in the form of Question Booklets. Candidates will be permitted to take the question booklet with them at the end of the examination.

COVID-19 Precautionary Instructions

  • Candidates must maintain social distancing starting from the point of entry in the exam venue until the exit from the exam venue.
  • Those who report physical discomforts due to illness or show higher body temperatures at the venue are supposed to appear for the examination by adhering to the special safety instructions of the Official concerned.
  • Candidates must carry essential items such as drinking water, food, and a pen for the examination and should not exchange these under any circumstances.
  • Inside the exam hall candidates have to strictly follow the instructions of the invigilator
  • During interval time candidates should not crowd or socialize with other candidates
  • They should strictly observe social distancing norms
  • Candidates must occupy their allotted seats inside the examination hall and should follow social distancing norms. Unnecessary movements inside the hall is not allowed.
  • Reporting of candidates at the scheduled time for examination as shown in the admit card is mandatory. Early reporting at the venue and crowding is strictly prohibited.
  • Those candidates appearing for forenoon and afternoon sessions of examination should carry food and drinking water. Under no circumstances candidates will be permitted to go outside the venue during interval time.
  • The contact information of the CEE Representative of each venue is provided in the KEAM 2021 admit card issued to candidates. Those requiring assistance can contact the CEE representatives.
  • Those under quarantine/candidates with symptoms of illness/those who’re Covid positive should contact the CEE Representative in the phone number given in the admit card on the previous day itself, inform the matter, and also obtain instructions for reaching the venue.
  • Such candidates and their parents should reach the venue only in vehicles specially arranged by them, keep distance from other candidates and enter the specially arranged examination room following strict safety protocols. Parents should leave the examination venue immediately after dropping these candidates and also reach back after the examination as per instructions by the CEE Representative of the venue.
  • Candidates may also bring gloves, personal hand sanitiser (50 ml) and transparent water bottle (if the candidates wish).
  • Used masks and gloves should not be thrown carelessly. They should be deposited in the places provided for the purpose. Spare masks should be carried to cover the entire duration of the examination.

Ensure that you reach the examination hall at least 30 minutes before the exam

Don’t carry any books or notebooks to the exam

No candidate will be permitted to enter the examination hall, 30 minutes after the commencement of the examination.

Please ensure to keep your KEAM admit card with you during the exam

Do not carry the following:

Pencil/Geometry Box or any other stationery, Handbag, Purse, Any kind of paper or printed material, Eatables and Water (loose or packed), Electronic items and instruments such as Mobile Phone, Ear Phone, Microphone,  Pager, Calculator.

Instruments such as DocumentPen, Slide Ruler, Log Tables, Camera, Tape Recorder, any type of watch including Electronic Watches with facilities of calculator, any metallic item or electronic gadgets/ devices in the Examination Hall/Room There may not be any provision for safekeeping of valuables at the centre.

Candidates should bring Admit card, ballpoint pen (either blue or black ink) and a cardboard/clipboard for the Examination.

Candidates will not be permitted to take items such as pencil, eraser, correction fluid, calculator, logarithm table, electronic gadgets, mobile phones etc. into the examination hall.

Stay away from students who are doing last-minute revision in the KEAM 2021 exam centre

Please do not carry or wear any jewellery to the exam centre

KEAM 2021 Exam Day Guidelines for Parents

  • Parents will not be allowed to enter the KEAM 2021 exam venue.

  • After dropping candidates in front of the venue, parents should immediately leave the premises and avoid traffic hindrance.

  • Candidates coming out of the venue after examination should be picked up from a safe place away from the gate of the venue.

  • Parents will not be allowed to crowd in front of the venue or park their vehicles blocking smooth traffic. This has to be strictly followed. Crowding in front of the gate violating social distance norms is punishable.

Q:   Is CEE office conducting Medical Entrance Examination?
A:
There is no state-level entrance examination for medical and architecture courses conducted by CEE. The KEAM entrance examination is conducted only for Engineering and B.Pharma courses. Allotment to Medical courses will be conducted based on the NEET (UG) Rank. Those candidates who wish to be considered for the allotment in Medical Courses in Kerala State shall be qualified in NEET. Likewise, if a candidate wants to be considered for allotment in the Architecture course, the qualification in NATA (National Aptitude Test) is required. Remember, all candidates who desire Engineering, Pharmacy, Medical and Architecture admission should apply for KEAM.
Q:   When will the authority open the KEAM login window to verify class 12 marks?
A:

CEE will start the facility to submit class 12 marks after the KEAM 2026 result is announced. This facility will be available only to those candidates who will qualify the KEAM 2026 exam.

The KEAM rank list is prepared based on the marks of the qualifying exam and KEAM scores. The weightage of the qualifying exam marks and KEAM marks varies for rank lists PDF for Engineering, Architecture, B.Pharma, MBBS / BDS / BHMS / BSMS / BUMS / Agriculture / Forestry / Veterinary / Co-operation & Banking / Climate Change & Environmental Science/ B.Tech Biotechnology (under KAU) / Fisheries and B.A. MS Equal weightage of 50:50 shall be given to the score obtained in the Entrance Examination for Engineering, and the grade/marks obtained in the final year of the qualifying examination for Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together, after effecting the standardisation procedure.

Q:   I forgot my KEAM password. What is the procedure to retrieve the password?
A:

Using the link ‘Forgot Password’ in online application, you can reset your KEAM password. Application number, DOB, Security Question and answer of it should be provided for resetting the password.

To secure a high score, start your KEAM preparation at least 8 months before the exam, ideally at the beginning of Class 12, focusing on mastering Class 11 & 12 NCERT concepts, followed by intensive mock tests and previous year question practice.
