CEE Kerala will be conducting the computer-based exam for the KEAM exam in April 2026. KEAM 2026 will be held at around 130 examination centres across all districts of Kerala and also at some centres designated in Dubai, Delhi and Mumbai. Along with the KEAM 2026 admit card, students should carry any original identity proof.

KEAM 2026 Exam Day Guidelines: CEE Kerala will be conducting the computer-based exam for KEAM exam in April 2026. KEAM 2026 will be held at around 130 examination centres across all districts of Kerala and also at some centres designated in Dubai, Delhi and Mumbai.

Along with the KEAM 2026 admit card, students should carry any original identity proof such as a Driving License, Passport, PAN Card, Election ID, or Aadhaar Card on the exam day. Candidates have to download the admit card from the website of the Commissioner of Entrance Examination and present it at the examination centre with a valid ID card. Apart from this, there are some important exam day guidelines and instructions that the candidates must follow on the exam day. Check details below.

KEAM 2026 Exam Day Guidelines

  1. The admit card should be presented along with the original valid ID proof for verification at the examination venue. Use any one of the Valid Photo IDs: School Identity Card/Class 12 Board Admit Card with a photograph/Aadhaar Card/E-Aadhaar with a photograph/Voter ID Card/Bank Passbook with a Photograph/PAN card/Driving License/Passport/An Identification certificate with a photograph obtained from Gazetted officer/Head of institution of class 12 studied.
  2. To attend the Computer-Based Test, the candidate must report to the reporting point of the venue as per the schedule above.
  3. The reporting point will be closed, and no candidate shall be permitted to enter the examination hall after 1:30 pm for Engineering and 3:00 pm for Pharmacy only.
  4. Candidates should produce the Admit Card downloaded from the website of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations at the venues.
  5. The candidate will be allocated a seat in the examination hall after completing biometric verification, which includes a thumb impression and photo capture.
  6. Candidates who indulge in any unfair and improper conduct during the examination will be disqualified. Any gesture or conversation with other candidates in the Examination Hall shall be treated as improper conduct/malpractice activity and shall be dealt with as per the relevant provision in the Prospectus.
  7. Candidates are not permitted to carry any electronic devices, mobile phones, calculators, electronic watches, textual/printed/written materials, etc. in the examination hall.
  8. Sheets of paper for rough work will be provided in the examination hall. Candidates must write their Roll Number and Name at the top of the paper and put their signature also. This sheet should be returned to the Invigilator at the end of the exam.
  9. In the examination hall, candidates must put their signatures on the Attendance Sheet provided by the Invigilator.
Q:   When will the authority open the KEAM login window to verify class 12 marks?
A:

CEE will start the facility to submit class 12 marks after the KEAM 2026 result is announced. This facility will be available only to those candidates who will qualify the KEAM 2026 exam.

The KEAM rank list is prepared based on the marks of the qualifying exam and KEAM scores. The weightage of the qualifying exam marks and KEAM marks varies for rank lists PDF for Engineering, Architecture, B.Pharma, MBBS / BDS / BHMS / BSMS / BUMS / Agriculture / Forestry / Veterinary / Co-operation & Banking / Climate Change & Environmental Science/ B.Tech Biotechnology (under KAU) / Fisheries and B.A. MS Equal weightage of 50:50 shall be given to the score obtained in the Entrance Examination for Engineering, and the grade/marks obtained in the final year of the qualifying examination for Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together, after effecting the standardisation procedure.

Q:   I forgot my KEAM password. What is the procedure to retrieve the password?
A:

Using the link ‘Forgot Password’ in online application, you can reset your KEAM password. Application number, DOB, Security Question and answer of it should be provided for resetting the password.

Do's

Don'ts

Ensure that you reach the examination hall at least 30 minutes before the exam

Don’t carry any books or notebooks to the exam

No candidate will be permitted to enter the examination hall, 30 minutes after the commencement of the examination.

Please ensure to keep your KEAM admit card with you during the exam

Do not carry the following:

Pencil/Geometry Box or any other stationery, Handbag, Purse, Any kind of paper or printed material, Eatables and Water (loose or packed), Electronic items and instruments such as Mobile Phone, Ear Phone, Microphone,  Pager, Calculator.

Instruments such as DocumentPen, Slide Ruler, Log Tables, Camera, Tape Recorder, any type of watch including Electronic Watches with facilities of calculator, any metallic item or electronic gadgets/ devices in the Examination Hall/Room There may not be any provision for safekeeping of valuables at the centre.

Candidates should bring Admit card, original ID proof and a ballpoint pen (either blue or black ink)

Candidates will not be permitted to take items such as pencils, erasers, correction fluids, calculators, logarithm tables, electronic gadgets, mobile phones etc. into the examination hall.

Stay away from students who are doing last-minute revisions in the KEAM 2026 exam centre

KEAM 2026 Exam Day Guidelines for Parents

  • Parents will not be allowed to enter the KEAM exam venue.
  • After dropping candidates in front of the venue, parents should immediately leave the premises and avoid traffic hindrances.
  • Candidates coming out of the venue after the examination should be picked up from a safe place away from the gate of the venue.
  • Parents will not be allowed to crowd in front of the venue or park their vehicles, blocking smooth traffic. This has to be strictly followed.
Q:   What is the timing for KEAM exam?
A:

KEAM 2026 exam time is from 2 pm to 5 pm. The exam will be held for 3 hours in computer based test mode.

Q:   What will happen if my computer at the KEAM exam centre malfunctions during the exam?
A:

In case the computer/mouse allotted to any candidate malfunctions anytime during the KEAM CBT, they will be immediately allotted another computer system and the time lost due to this will be adjusted in the server so as to give the candidate the full allotted time. Use of keyboard during the exam is strictly not allowed in KEAM exam. Wherever use of keyboard is needed, a virtual keyboard appearing on the computer screen can be used.

Q:   Are rough sheets provided at KEAM exam centre?
A:

Yes. You will get additional paper for rough in the KEAM examination hall. You must write your Roll Number and Name at the top of the paper and put your signature. This sheet should be returned to the Invigilator at the end of the exam.

KEAM Dress Code 2026

The CEE has not specified a dress code for exam day, but candidates should avoid flashy attire and jewellery. Go for simple clothing without many pockets to prevent any issues and suspicion. 

KEAM 2026 Admit Card

Candidates have to carry the KEAM 2026 admit card to the exam hall. To download the KEAM admit card, candidates have to follow the following steps. After downloading the admit card, candidates have to print it and carry it to the exam hall.

  • Visit the official website of KEAM - cee.kerala.gov.in.
  • Click on the KEAM candidate login page
  • Entering your application number, password and access code
  • The admit card will be displayed on the screen
  • Download and take a printout of the admit card and preserve it for all future reference

Carry These Items on KEAM 2026 Exam Day

Besides the KEAM 2026 hall ticket, candidates are required to carry the following documents to the KEAM test centres for verification:

  • Original valid ID proof for verification at the examination venue.  Candidates must carry their exam admit card to the allotted KEAM test centre. Candidates who fail to do so will not be allowed to enter the exam centre.

KEAM 2026 will have multiple-choice questions. For each question, five suggested answers would be given, of which only one will be the most appropriate response.

 KEAM Marking Scheme

In order to understand the KEAM question paper pattern, it is important to study the marking scheme in the exam. The exam marking scheme to understand the KEAM pass marks is similar to the JEE Main marking scheme.  

  • Candidates will be awarded 4 marks for every correct answer
  • 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer   
  • No marks will be deducted for not attempting a question
