86,549 candidates who took the engineering exam. In pharmacy, Anakha Anil secured rank 1 out of the total 33,425 candidates who took the pharmacy exam.
The KEAM 2025 exam was held from April 23 to 29, and the KEAM normalised scores of the candidates were published on the official website, cee.kerala.gov.in, on May 14.
In 2024, KEAM transitioned form a pen and paper based test to a computer based test. The exam started to be conducted in phases, as it would not be possible to arrange over 1.2 lakh computer terminals at the same time. Since the exam is now held in shifts, normalisation of scores for engineering and pharmacy exams has been introduced. Alo the syllabus of the KEAM exam has been changed in 2024. The new revised syllabus must be downloaded from the KEAM official website and used for the exam preparation.
The ranking in KEAM 2025 has been done based on a 50:50 equal weightage given to KEAM 2025 normalised scores scaled down to 300 and the plus two scores submitted by the candidates, which will also be scaled down to 300. The final KEAM 2025 ranking will be based on the scores of the candidates out of a total of 600 marks. The KEAM 2025 rank list can be checked online on the official website.
Last year, Devanand P got the rank 1 with a score of 591.6145 out of 600. The rank 2 holder was Hafiz Rahman Elikkottil with 591.6145 marks. The third position was grabbed by Allen Johny Anil with a score of 591.6145.

KEAM 2025 Rank List Preparation for Engineering
KEAM will now be held in computer based test mode. There will be one paper with three sections (Maths, Physics, Chemistry) for BTech candidates and two (Physics, Chemistry) for BPharm candidates.
- The KEAM entrance exam for engineering courses will consist of 150 questions, with Mathematics having 75 questions, Physics having 45 questions and Chemistry having 30 questions.
- Each correct answer will have 4 marks and wrong answers will lead to -1 marks.
- Candidates will have 180 minutes to complete the exam.
- For candidates appearing for KEAM BPharm ONLY, the entrance exam will have 45 questions in Physics and 30 questions in Chemistry, to be completed within 90 minutes.
No, once a candidate has been assigned a test center for the KEAM exam, no requests for changing the center will be accepted.
The KEAM 2025 rank list for engineering admission is prepared by combining the normalised score from the KEAM 2025 Entrance Examination for Engineering and the standardised marks obtained in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry (or relevant subjects) of the final year of the qualifying examination. Equal weightage (50:50) is given to both scores.
The normalised score and standardised marks are calculated together. Both scores are adjusted to four decimal places. The rank list for Engineering Courses will be based on the total marks out of an Index mark of 600.
For the KEAM 2025 Engineering ranking, the subjects considered from the qualifying examination will include Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
If a candidate has not studied Chemistry, the marks obtained in Computer Science will be considered instead. If neither Chemistry nor Computer Science has been studied, then the marks obtained in Biotechnology will be considered. If a candidate has not studied Chemistry, Computer Science, and Biotechnology, then the marks obtained in Biology will be considered for ranking purposes.
The marks obtained in the final year of the qualifying examination for each subject (Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry/Computer Science/Biotechnology/Biology) by students who have passed, as provided by their respective Boards, will be transformed to a scale out of 100. These transformed marks for the three subjects will then be computed to a total out of 300 after standardisation is applied to each subject. The standardisation process will adjust the marks of each student relative to statistical measures such as the Global Mean and Global Standard Deviation.
Tie Breaking for KEAM 2025 Engineering Rank List
In the case of a tie in the total index marks computed after integrating the total normalised score of the entrance examination with the total standardised score for the preparation of the KEAM 2025 engineering rank, then
- Candidates with a higher pre-normalised score in Mathematics in KEAM will be placed higher in the ranking.
- If the tie still exists, the candidate with a higher pre-normalised score in Physics of the KEAM Entrance Examination will be placed higher in the ranking.
- If there is still a tie, a candidate with higher standardised marks in Mathematics in the final year of the qualifying examination will be placed higher in the ranking.
- If the tie persists, the candidate with higher standardised marks in Physics in the final year of the qualifying examination will be placed higher in the ranking.
- If the tie is still not resolved, the candidate with a higher number of correct responses in Mathematics will be considered.
- If the tie persists candidate with the correct higher number of responses in Physics will be considered.
- If there is still a tie, the age of the candidate will be considered, and the older candidate will be placed higher in the ranking.
- In case the tie remains, the decision of CEE will be final.
