OMPL GATE Recruitment 2025

ONGC Mangalore Petrochemicals Ltd (OMPL) will release the job notification based on the GATE 2025 score in various disciplines. The OMPL recruitment notification will be available on the official website i.e. ompl.co.in. Candidates with BE/BTech/CA degrees can apply for this job. The selection process is based on the scores obtained by the candidates in GATE 2025 written test, Group discussion/Group Task, followed by a personal interview. The full form of OMPL is ONGC Mangalore Petrochemicals Limited is a Government of India Enterprise. OMPL is promoted by Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) and Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL). The company was incorporated on 19 December 2006 at Mangalore and is a subsidiary company of MRPL. This young company promises high growth potential in the near future.

Q:   Who is conducting the GATE 2026 exam?
A: 

The Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, will be conducting the GATE 2026 exam. The dates are OUT now. IIT Guwahati last conducted the GATE exam in 2018. Candidates who want to apply for M.Tech or any research programmes can apply for GATE. The application window is available till October 7 without late fees (revised), till October 13 (with late fee) and the exam will be conducted on February 7, 8, 14, and 15. 

 

Q:   When will the GATE 2026 exam be conducted?
A: 

IIT Guwahati conducted GATE 2026 exam on Feb 7 and 8 in two shifts. Then on Feb 14 and 15 in two shifts. The exam timings are - forenoon (9:30 am to 12:30 pm) and afternoon - 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. Branch-wise exam dates has been released on official website - gate2026.iitg.ac.in.

Q:   What are the GATE exam shift timings?
A: 

There are two shift timings for the GATE exam. Candidates can find the details of the shift timing on the official website. The GATE shift timings are as follows -

  • Forenoon  - 9:30 am to 12:30 pm
  • Afternoon - 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm

Candidates can also find the exam timing details mentioned in the GATE admit card. Candidates are advised to appear for the GATE 2026 exam on the date prescribed in the hall ticket. 

Q:   What is the validity of the GATE 2026 scorecard?
A: 

GATE scorecard 2026 is valid for three years, which means the scorecard can be used till March 31, 2029. Candidates can download their scorecard using their enrollment ID and password. It can be used for MTech, PhD, Research work admissions and PSU recruitment.

  • Candidates should complete B.E/B.Tech in respective engineering disciplines from a recognized university
  • Minimum 60% aggregate marks for Un-reserved/OBC (NCL)/ EWS

OMPL Recruitment 2025 through GATE – How to apply

  • A candidate fulfilling the eligibility criteria shall log on to the “Join Us” page of ompl.co.in.
  • Now click on the link “Recruitment of executives through GATE-2025
  • Then, he/she can click the link “Registration” and fill in the details in the respective fields.
  • The candidate will have to fill out the requisite information, such as the Candidate's Name, Gender, Date of Birth, Category, whether a Person with a Disability is a Departmental (OMPL) employee, Educational qualification, Email ID, Mobile Number, Communication Address, Declaration, Details of arrest/prosecution by any court, etc. 
  • After the above step, the candidate will be prompted to check the filled details and fill/make corrections if any, otherwise to SUBMIT his/her final data.
  • The next step will be to upload the photograph and signature as per the instructions given on the website in the link. (Check the guidelines)
  • The candidate has to scan and upload the relevant GATE- 2025 score card also. 
  • In case of failure to upload the relevant certificate/document, the candidature will not be accepted.
  • Candidates belonging to reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC-Non creamy layer/PWD/EWS) must scan and upload the relevant certificate issued by the prescribed authority.
  • Finally, review all the filled information before clicking on the declaration, as no correction will be possible later.

OMPL Recruitment through GATE 2025 Scores: Selection Procedure

  • Shortlisting of candidates will be done based on GATE 2025 scores and then a further round of personal interviews.
  • For the personal interview round, candidates must carry all the original documents (degrees and mark sheets).
  • After qualifying the personal interview round, applicants must meet the required medical parameters provided by OMPL.

Candidates are offered seat in M.Tech based on GATE scores at NIT Goa. The seats are allotted via CCMT Counselling. In case the seats remain vacant, Non-GATE aspirants can also get admission by passing the written test conducted by the institute.

Yes, GATE qualified candidates will also have to appear for the PGET exam held on the scheduled date. The merit list will combine performance of both WBUT and GATE paper.
